Columbus is roughly 125 miles from lake erie... You can't see, smell, or hear it from there. It really is a non factor.

And they have a soccer specific stadium. Does Seattle?
Lake Eerie might be 125mi. from Columbus, but the biggest suck who ever sucked plys his trade week in and week out for the home team. Hejduk, alone makes Columbus a sh!tty place to be.

Seattle doesnt have that problem.

Why are you hating on Frankie Hejduk?? He's not that bad, and he doesn't bring in fans opposed to the United States, which is what I thought we were talking about... the point is that Columbus has almost no anti U.S.A. fans, and one of the best soccer specific stadiums in the country. Frankie Hejduk has nothing do with it. Besides, I don't think the U.S. nationals would want to play in the Kingdome, or whatever baseball/football stadium they would have to play in in Seattle...

P.S. I realize that you were probably being sarcastic, but there is no reason not to play a few national team matches in Columbus, and I think that if it came down to a choice between Seattle and Columbus, Columbus would be the logical choice, even though we have Frankie.

For every Frankie Hejduk there is one Ichiro Suzuki...

Nope Seattle has Seahawks Staduim on of the best in the USA and Seattle is a really good soccer town. I mean they get around 8,000 to 10,000 for the freaking Seattle Sounders of the A-League. Plus Seattle seats more than Columbus. Also there is a 300 mile contamination area around Lake Erie which is not around the beautiful Puget Sound.

Doesn't everyone remember the qualifier in Columbus against Mexico? It was an excellent match and the stadium was packed full of loud American fans.
