Thing is considering how bad we've been this last couple of seasons, I can't be really confident and out of the lot of possible opponents they were theoretically the toughest we could get.

We really need to make an impact this season especially on the domestic league, but CL football is always a must do for us given the financial boost it provides and the prestige it involves.

So we better fucking do it, but I'm not as sure we can as I'd like to be.

It wasn't supposed to have been easy, but the early goal gave us confidence and then the red cards just added to Roma's misery. Fine win for us, I was hopeful we could do it but certainly not sure especially after the first leg result.

I don't quite have the same view of the groups as Kp. Yes they are horribly disjointed but I see potential for upsets. Basel could finish above Arsenal. Dynamo Kiev are a capable team in group b and if either benfica or Napoli slip up they could be topped. I think group H will be juve and Lyon, lyon are shit hot this season and Sevilla may subconsciously send themselves back to their favourite competition. Also whilst I am delighted Leciester have been drawn in a soft group, they could completely buckle and club Brugge could be handed a pass.

It's also cool to see Legia Warsaw there

Would be amazing if Italy fell out of the Top 4 after 2017.

Apparently the top 4 leagues will get 4 automatic spots in the CL from 2018 onwards so as long as Italy can hang on the current top 4 will stay that way forever.

I don't have a problem with that actually - assuming the fourth places still have to go through qualifiers. What I really don't like is this 'historical merit' idea.
