The draw for the playoff round is this Friday. Five teams will qualify from the champions path and five from the non-champions path completing the 32 team group stage. The 10 losers in the playoff round from both paths will move on to the Europa League group stage.

Well obviously, that was the whole point of changing the qualifying process. How are you ever going to level off the balance of power in European football if you keep allowing the rich to get richer? In my opinion this is a great move by UEFA and Platini.

Yes but now the big leagues have 3 teams direct qualified to the group stages so the new format benefits top leagues even more.

The middle leagues like Portugal,Holland are very penalized with this format.
