They are not breaking any rules by playing Cattanacio so it is as acceptable as playing total football. However, in terms of entertainment value, it's very undesirable from a neutral point of view.

Barca were certainly the better side and it is understandable because they were the ones playing at home and chasing the game for 2 goals, but Inter had a number of good plays themselves.
