It has only just come to my attention that this game exists. I have a PS2 and I'm seriously considering purchasing the game due to the reviews that people coming to the Soccer Gaming forum have given so far.
I would like to know if the game will be changed in any way whatsoever for its release as a PS2 game? People have already noticed glitches in the game, they want the gameplay speed to be reduced, net to be thinner, etc. Will any of these improvements/modifications be included in the PS2 version or will it just be a direct clone of the Playstation and PC versions?

I would also like to know of any websites featuring neutral reviews on the game with more picutres. I can't find any information on it really. I'd like to find out more.

Cheers,
chilamatt

The Ps2 version will have a number of improvements over the Pc version - simply because we've had a while longer to sort it out. Most of the things mentioned on this forum have now been addressed in the Ps2 version. It is by no means a direct port, we have animated platyer faces and kits in their for a start. Most of these changes will also make it in to any future patch for Pc.

Cheers Jon. Will the gameplay issues that have been raised in here on the PS and PC versions, for an example - speed, be changed for the PS2 release?

Yes, indeed they did. I have to say I think they've been really harsh. One has to wonder how long the reviewer actually played the game for. Anyway, PcZone is very tough in its marking, most of the games in that issue get about 30% with a couple of exceptions. I think you'll see the game more favourably received by other magazines who actually take the time to sit down and play the game.

i am sorry to hear that pc zone didnt like the game... i suspect that they must have been playin a different game altogether!
first up the reviewer goes on about the 'stench of that series', refering to actua soccer, i dont considering that necesarily a bad thing. i though a lot of people liked actua soccer? theres a bit of whinging about the comentary (right becasue that makes a game sooo playable) and the lack of tournaments and this warrants a mark of 54%? i think this review is harsh to say the least! especialy when you look at their in perspective thing at the bottom of the page its only just behind FIFA. What ? a game rated at 54% JUST BEHIND FIFA? surely there must be some mistake?

take a look at the uppers:
barry davies (nuff said)
vague attempt at player liknesses . Really? i thought that the players looked great.

take a look at the downers:
no propper tournaments and no headed goals? sorry did the review actually play the game at all? just started a freindly game ( admittedly on easy mode) and scored by a header.

so basicaly because of the lack of a few tournaments you are prepared to dock 46% off it? and your telling me thats not harsh?
