I think humour has changed. 30 years ago comedy was much cornier and innocent. If not humour in popular media certainly has. It's much edgier now. At least on my opinion.

In any case, I guess my main point was what you've mentioned - Pokemon wasn't really a great example because I'm sure kids in the target age group could watch it now and still enjoy it. I don't think a 12yo kid would enjoy old episodes of Full House now. I'll have to watch Fuller House before I make judgement on it though.

Up to episode 7 in Making A Murderer. This is the most frustrating thing I've ever watched.

There was a British one? I thought it was an original Netflix venture.

It's (heavily) based on a very good British BBC trio of miniseries' which in turn were based on successful British novels. Of course as its American it's much longer, so they've stretched it out and put in new ideas which in my opinion are not as good

Oh and tits.
Done with Fargo season 1. Was pretty epic.

I don't get why I never watched Pokemon as a kid and still dislike it so much. I mean I still hate it but can't make sense of the hatred since Ive never actually seen it.

This is the list of what I've watched and liked till now.

-True Detective S1 (2-times I've watched)
-GoF (2)
-The Mentalist
-House of Cards
-Sherlock
-Daredevil
-Narcos
-Hannibal(2)
-Spartacus(2)
-Fargo S1

Any recommendations?

The Legend
I watched The Battered Bastards of Baseball on Netflix. It was pretty good, but it hardened my disillusionment with the structure of professional sports in this country.

Try Banshee and Suits.

I watched an episode of Suits but not too attentively tho didn't notice much worth getting hooked on. I don't like the sound of it from what I've heard either. Gonna check out Banshee.

Any idea about Penny Dreadful? Eva Green, I know.

Was it the first episode of Suits you watched? You can't tell me that you were hooked on House of Cards after one episode. Suits was much more interesting.

We have Penny Dreadful in our watch list (well my wife does).

@Alex, Suits is the shittest thing ever filmed

Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB certainly disagree. 93% of viewers on Rotten Tomatoes liked it. Doesn't mean you're wrong - it's obviously an opinion. But an opinion that 93% of those who have watched it don't share :p

I'm not totally sure of what I saw tbh- at a friend's place, drunk. Tho I think this woman was "glowing" after sleeping with the other guy's rival and the other guy was who she was sleeping with prior to it. Then I remember this other couple going through issues since the chick decided to go for another job or something. Then there were this few minutes they were doing what they were supposed to about a case. The pointless romance and focus on it sort of pissed me off.

So you watched an episode mid series, without understanding any back stories, and decided you didn't like it.

If I watched one random episode like that, I'm sure I'd be the same.

Perhaps actually watch it from the start, as I'm sure you did with all the other shows you've liked.

Haha, yes. I guess that is way too little to base my judgement on and better to not rely on outside opinion as well. I'm gonna check it out. Thanks for the suggestions!

Make America Great Again
Cersei's story might wrap up next week, or at least it'll possibly be the beginning of the end. Tyrion didn't tell Dany about all that wildfyre underneath the Great Sept this week so that it'll never have any impact on anything. Also, Cersei definitely knows about it and her trial is in the Sept.

Also, look at who you listed as the "major characters" right now. They are very different from the beginning of the show. Several major characters have died. At some point you need to resolve the story, and it doesn't make sense for Game of Thrones to actually be the story of Davos leading humans over the White Walkers.

Make America Great Again
Well obviously the Night's King is going to be the Final Boss.

And you're not alone about the religious thing. It's called Game of Thrones, not "unimportant religious argument in a more-or-less religiously tolerant society".

But bro, at some point they have to wrap it up, and if you kill all the heroes, who is going to defeat the bad guy at the end?

I think the emphasis in religion has something to do with the mysterious plot maesters have with the seven gods, which Jaqen and Sarella are investigating, but I'm not sure if the series is going to follow that plot. I supose, they tried to return to the book plots this season. But the sand snakes in the series suck so much.
