I think it's a hipster who can't type on his hipster phone.

Cue Sir_Didier_Drogba telling us he has an Apple phone as evidence he's not a hipster, despite it being an old one

Alex, FOX in the US is putting on a live stage show of Grease tonight. Tell me you're not jealous.

Lol. Olivia Newton-John? & John Travolta in his QANTAS Pilot outfit? (H)

Based on the comments in this thread I decided to start watching Making A Murderer. Only 4 episodes in, but enjoying it. Have to get stuck in and watch the rest soon.

Did anyone watch the new X-Files? The first episode promised plenty but then the rest basically ignored the main plot until the end.

I fell asleep during the day; I dreamed about watching house of cards, and I was feeling it was a very good series..

never seen an instance of the house of cards, is it any good?

Personally found it pretty good. You might enjoy it.

Been watching "Fargo" all day long and it's pretty awesome.

I watched the first two episodes of House of Cards and couldn't really get into it. Does it get better a few episodes in? I'm sure it must be good because everyone raves about it, I just didn't get hooked after the first couple of eps.

The American one sucks, in my opinion.

I only knew this because when I first added it to Kodi it was misidentified as the British one. I had to add the year to the folder to get it to add properly.

I think the British one was a BBC mini series.

Netflix still call it a Netflix original, as they produced the American version. It was essentially a whole new tv series based on the same premise.

Yeah but I recall hearing that Netflix came up with the idea by analyzing their viewing data and figuring out that people wanted a political drama and that Kevin Spacey films were very popular.

Oh, maybe that's what made them decide to run with at that concept then?

Like their researched showed that people wanted political drama with Spacey - and so they decided to take the basics of the British Miniseries and run with it?

Fuller House is really funny. I was worried they'd botch it but they handled it well. Stephanie helps.

Really? I've not heard good things. Will have to watch an episode. Jodie Sweetin is ok - but I can't decide if I think she's fat or not.

It's corny, but that's the humor they're going for. They actually pull it off pretty well I think. You grow to like DJ as a character very quickly. Jodie looks ridiculously good in it. And Lori Loughlin is like John Stamos, she doesn't age.

I didn't like it. It's very corny and unfunny. I loved Full House but that was like 20 years ago and they seemed to have gone for a similar approach which makes it unlikely for me to to enjoy it seeing as I don't like Pokemon anymore either.

I think humour has come a long way too.

Pokemon is probably still exciting for kids today, I'm not sure Full House would be.

Not sure humor is different, just that the style of show is different. Full House actually dealt with social issues, as did many shows from that general era (Saved by the Bell, Boy Meets World, Family Matters), which were for tweens but were watchable by most age groups. Fuller House abandons this, in concordance with what I've seen from other kid shows these days, seems to be targetting a younger demographic. Shows seem to either target high-schoolers or pre-teens nowadays, but I don't watch them to say for certain.

Pokemon was a bad example because it was for younger kids anyway, but then again, I watched both shows simultaneously.
