Finally got around to watching the final episode, though it had been ruined by loads of internet spoilers by now anyway.

Really strange to me really. If Snow is dead I'm really struggling to keep interest. Snow wasn't my favourite character by any means, I just think Martin is now killing for the sake of killing. Not about trying to shock us with the harshness of reality anymore. Now it's just a "I'm going to keep killing the favourites because fuck you".

Think I'm also disappointed because I was big on the theory that he was a Targaryen - one of the three heads of the three headed dragon.

I am positive that he isn't actually dead, or that he's going to be revived.
What makes you positive? The director and Kit himself seemed pretty convincing to me. Before that I believed he was going received after reading about how it happened in the books

Oh come on Alex. He's not dead. 1) The Lord of Light has resurrected people before. 2) He is a warg. 3) He has friends at the wall who might be able to save him just like Grey Worm was saved.

^ your suggestions feel very spoilery ... there are other possibilities based purely on the world so far, that suggest the door is wide open for Jon to come back: 4) the undead exist, and have personalities; 5) zombies exist, though this new science seemingly only exists in the capital for now ...

as mentioned earlier, Melisandre + Lord of Light + resurrection makes most sense, and would take care of his watch ending + allowing him to take on whatever destiny his true lineage demands ...

He's said before that he hates fan theories and might just change things to prevent people from guessing? (I guess referring to r+l=j)

You can't have "Who are Jon Snow's Parents?" as a major question of the show and kill him off and leave it totally unresolved.

My suggestions can't possibly be spoilery because the books are in the same spot as the show.

Your first point is exactly what gives me hope.

Your second was exactly what I was going to say to Xifio.

My guess is that it will be as Melisandre predicted it. He will live inside Ghost, and then a second man body, not Kit.

And Filipower, I saw an interview of R.R. saying that he doesn't read fan theories because he wants to write the story as he has always planned it. So he's not planning to change his mind after reading fan theories.

Netflix has arrived in Spain and it's awesome. Watched Bojack Horseman (pretty funny) and Luther (pretty good) and midway through Archer (funnier than Bojack). Might watch Sherlock, Ray Donovan, Sons of Anarchy or F is for Family next, they've all been recommended.

Can't wait for them to keep stocking it as they're adding pretty good stuff so far (Breaking Bad, for instance).

Oh, also starting to watch House of Cards.

I'm watching Making A Murderer. Gripping crime drama that is a documentary. Had to watch it because so many people said it was really good. I'll eventually watch Narcos for the same reason.

I finished it this past weekend. Thought it was great. I won't talk here because of ***SPOILERS***, but I'll discuss somewhere less public.

The lawyers involved, by and large, probably went to the same law school I did haha. My guess is the two guys who ended up defending Steve were either from UW, or Top 14 (i.e. basically ivy league for law schools).

E: Okay, I looked it up. Kratz and me hold the same degree :(

Strang is from Dartmouth undergrad and Virginia Law (Nailed it). Buting is Indiana UG and North Carolina Law, which is very comparable and maybe slightly better than UW law. So kinda nailed it.

Making A Murderer made my piss boil, especially the last two episodes. Insane that they're able to get away with shit like that and narrow it down to one person(s) with an utter lack of evidence. Great show to binge watch, though.

Following from your comments, just watched the entire Making a Murderer show in one sitting (SPOILERS). I was kind of disappointed because, especially seeing as the climax ocurred in episode 8, that there would be some big twist at the end. That wasn't the case, but I guess that's life. I'd be interested to seeing an article that deals with any legitimacy issues by the filmmakers, as documentaries are rarely impartial.

I was shocked he got convicted, and that Brendan wound being prosecuted to the full extent (and then convicted). Even more shocked at the final hour and a half of the March 1st interrogation not being shown. Also felt like a lot of issues that were brought up in the series were not mentioned in the trial but I assume that's temporal economy. Gotta feel bad for Steven, assuming he isn't guilty, which is the conclusion the series leads you towards, as his only crime is just being dumb.

All in all, good show. Great purchasing by Netflix as this whole filming process must have started years before they were ever involved.

Didn't Spanish people do what the rest of the world did, and simply sign up with an American account before it was launched in their country, and then use a VPN or DNS spoof to access content from which ever nation's Netflix had their show?

Australians were doing that for years. Now that it's launched here, we sign up through Australian Netflix, but still use VPN/DNS to access content.
