[Tutorial] Start Career Mode In 2014

Hi guys,

i saw some posts about the carrer start 2014.. some people would change the completly schedule to start at 2014..

you have 3 steps to done for a start in 2014!

1. start CM and go to the script section. click on FIFA and change the year value from 2012 to 2014.

2. this step is importend!! go to the world cup and change the start year to 2018!

3. go to the cmsettings at: dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data

and change the calstart from 2013 to 2014.

Doesn't work for me ! The same result as the one when i change all the schedules to 2014: no legs ! Only the frendlies at the start, then no matches !

try removing use real schedule from the settings text in the compdata folder.

I tested first in with real schedule (legs set in 2013) and i don't have the matches ! After that, i tested with legs set in 2014, but with legs set in 2014 i don't even have the friendlies at the start, i have them in aug/sept 2015...
I did even change the tournament start to 2016 for WC Qualifiers...

cmsettings(.txt) is a text document.

you can download and unpack it (and pls move it to the right directory and do the changes)

But you have to change something too under:

\EA SPORTS\FIFA 14\Game\dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data\compdata

there is the file: settings.txt

every Tournament has a line which ended with: _year_start,xxxx maybe 2013 or 2016...

I'm almost sure, that you have to update this lines too, also to have the Friendlys in your first year of your career when it starts on 2014!

I did this too, i replaced all 2013 entries to 2014. Same thing. When i start a new career the only matches available are the friendlies at the start of the season... No championship, no cup, no UCL !

Nope, not another entries. Only the ones from schedule.txt, but when i change them, the season starts in 2014, but in the first season are no matches, even friendlies; the friendlies are in July 2015, but still no other matches.

Anyway, now i saw that i misread your post. I taught you were refering to something else. But i did these too (ex: 765,schedule_year_real,2013 -> 765,schedule_year_real,2014 -> 765,schedule_year_real,0 ) and no change. Or i'm supossed to delete the entire line ? I will do these too and see if it works...
EDIT: Still no change even with ..._real,0 lines deleted ! Looks like a dead end...

dont change lines like: 765,schedule_year_real,2013

if you have now changes on the files like schedule.txt ... delete the files, regenerate and try it again (to start a carrer)

I can't delete schedule.txt because i have replaced Japan, N. Ireland and another league with leagues from Romania...

It's just one year, if you don't want to start with 2013 simply calender sim it, it doesn't even take 5 mins.

yeah me too, thats no problem.. Do only what ive wrote... dont change your settings.txt..

Update: worked succesfully! Got EU/CH in first season and it starts in 2014.

Okay, finally got it to work ! Thanks a lot man, you are the best !

My problem was that i deleted some international friendly legs for trying to eliminate the bug of multiple NT matches in the same day and forgot about that. I now used the standard compdata from my patch and works !
