I'm new to FM. I've wanted it forever and yesterday I finally got my hands on it. My question is what is the best way to go about training your players. I had about 5 starters pick up 2-3 week long injuries in training. I was just wondering what the ideal training methods are in FM. Thanks guys
I keep my training at the top of heavy (next to very heavy lol), i have no problems. Problems with training ususually stem for overload on the training side itself, or by playing your youngsters WAY too much. So, set up profiles for attackers, midfielders and defenders at the very least. For stuff like Attackers, have Attacking and shooting on INTENSIVE, while put defending at LIGHT and so on. For outfield players, never have more than goalkeeping on "none", i believe putting "defending" on none for strikers is really punished by the game. Overall, try to have the overall-bar at around heavy for first-teamers.
How contraversial of you Tom, i always keep my training schedules to just below Heavy. I believe i posted them a while back...
I just put them like Tom. I put heavy, when the tick above is very heavy. It goes well...the players build their potential and keep themselves fit...but around March, I get around 6/7 injuries. Overload?
Duh I got knocked out by Brugge in the 3rd qualifying round of the CL because I had to play my subs then the starters I still had healthy managed to get injured too so I lost to Braga in the first round of the UEFA Cup I won the Romanian SuperCup though, 3rd in the league (5 points back) and through to the quarters in the Romanian Cup but still those injuries f*cked up my Euro campaign.
I take it slightly under heavy like Daz. It works pretty well, many of my players have improved pretty good with that schedule.
I won the German Cup and UEFA Cup with Werder Bremen in my first season. And I finished one point behind stupid Bayern in the league. Have signed Salomon Kalou, Leo Messi, Javier Maschereno, and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. Plus this Brazilian kid named Lenny from Fluminese and some brilliant 20 year old Slovenian playmaker Dalibor Stevanovic. I win
My schedule except pre-season are all heavy. Intensive is during pre-season and for long-term victims.
Erm, no. New (and better) coaches you might wanna sign will say that they're are too much coaches already and will reject your offer. And quality over quantity IMO
You should have a decent number of coaches though, preferably 1 for each aspect (attacking, aerobic, tactics etc..)
