it was a pleasure to test.... maybe if you make a tool, contact me, i'll try it
Yeah Rinaldo, it was a pleasure, if you make another tool for Fifa 2005, or soon for Fifa '06 maybe, don't hesitate to contact me, I'll gladly help and test again!
i think so too, but why you dont answer Stephan? my msnname is Franky fifa 06... enz enz and you have a automessage
I have found another potential problem in version 0.4, when you save a new tournament that is not a league, such as a cup tournament in different stages (I created the Russian Cup Tournament), and then you open the saved tournament and change the asset id and save again, the asset id's of the stages in table_rtsg are not updated and retain the old asset_id.
You can try it by creating a little tournament like a single final between two random teams, save it, close TM, open again, change asset_id in TM, save again and check the db with uniDB.
Additional Edit : Due to the same operation, the tournament data in the language.db doesn't get updated either and retains it's old asset_id. This doesn't make the game crash (I tested) but since it has the old id, no text will appear in the game's GUI concerning the modified tournament, and that's not good.
Maybe you have typed a new Asset but not pressed Enter or TAB before to save. So you see the new typed number but the program has not received it yet (unfortunately this is a problem of the .Net Framework and not of my software and I can't fix it). If you type Enter or select another control the Asset should be saved saved properly, let me know.
Yes, that must have been the case because I couldn't recreate the problem, must have been saved without confirming the change then, Microsoft should get rid of the bugs in their framework then hehe... anyone got Bill's e-mail?
Right now available version 0.5 that adds the "New Tournament Wizard".
There's no file available on your download site atm Rinaldo
Damn.. my provider is not reliable!! Loaded again (0.6 Wizard improoved)
Great! going to fetch it and will try out the wizard tonight to make a new tournament
tis is great i can make the CL of this year
Sorry, I have introduced a bug in the Wizard passing from 0.5 to 0.6, I am going to fix it tonight. 0.7 soon available.
wich bug?? i dont saw any bug...
Not easy to describe, anyway, when you play a tournaments created with the Wizard (version 0.6) the different stages are not well organized, e.g. a team could go to the semifinal stage without playing the previous stages.
By the way, I have discovered a problem also with the tournament WC and Euro, it seems that FIFA is not able to manage a tournament with a group stage in which the gropups can have a different number of teams .. I'm still working on it
I know what you mean Rinaldo, I ran into it when I linked the Serie C1/A and B to the Coppa Nazionale, after lots of tests I had to create a first round amongst 14 teams of Serie C (I took the 7 lowest ranked of both divisions to punish them for their low ranking, that way I can tell myself it is logic), to have 64 remaining teams (Serie A, B and remaining C + the 7 winners from the first round) to play the next rounds with untill the final.
What I also had to do, since I dropped Genoa from Serie B to C following RL events (their so called bought out match with Venezia) I found myself with a Serie C1/A with 19 teams and the B with 18 teams, I had to delete one of the 19 teams to balance things, uneven numbers seem to give a problem.
Something else that happened : Sunderland found itself removed from the Coca Cola Championship and showed up as an orphan team in creation centre, and I didn't touch that championship yet.
It could be because I manualy replaced Sunderland with Crystal Palace when last season ended and I knew who promoted and relegated, and the original rtsg field was set to move differently, which provoked the "expulsion" of Sunderland.
I manualy added Sunderland again to the CCC and so far no problems seen yet in the league, I should try to play the English Cup Tournament with Sunderland to see what happens though.
I also tested to see what happened if I deleted a custom team in creation centre which is linked to a tournament in the database.
Therefor I removed Grosseto from the active database, but the Serie C1/A still showed 19 teams in TM, Grosseto was replaced by a "copy" of Fidelis Andria, which now appeared twice in the same division, maybe we should remind that if you delete a team in cc, you should also delete any reference to it in TM. The good news I guess is that it doesn't make the game crash but it sure looks odd when in the calendar you see the same team facing itself
EDIT : I found Crystal Palace was appearing in both premier league and coca cola league , must have been an error of mine when I manualy edited the database and I missed a number in the team_id, anyway it is fixed now, so no worries.
Everything is going stable since my last post, modified Italian Cup tournament with added third divisions and new leagues going fine, no crashes anymore.
This week I'm going to add some new national teams and maybe the Ukranian League to see if it doesn't interfere with the new tournaments. Does the fact of adding a team in Creation Centre still links the new team to the last created tournament?
And I think the problem with the groups who need same number of teams in a tournament is a limitation of Fifa 2005 itself, I didn't find a way to get around it anyway, did you Rinaldo?
Well, good news. Probably I will release in one day or two. Now available 0.8 with minor changes.
Yes, this is what CC does.
Yes, no way to avoid this bug ! I have removed the WC2006 format from the Wizard, it doesn't work for this reason.
I officially declare CLOSED the beta test phase because I am going to release Tournament Master 2005 today.
Thanks to everybody.
no problem m8, if you have more programms like that, dont hassitate to send me a PM to test
That's not true, I made groups with very much different number of teams in my International Super Cup. The problem is probably in the length of time you set for that particular stage. Remember to add one week for each game played for the largest group in that stage.
