My umbrella got irreversibly turned inside out in the wind today :$

Sheffield is windy enough already, but it's stupidly windy down by my department building for some reason :(

I'm currently watching 'An Inconvenient Truth', so if I wasn't already freaked out with the weather changes you had to post this tornado news, hadn't you?

It snowed in the dessert (Dubai?) last year. There are minor earthquakes in non-earthquake areas (Malaysia). What can surprise you anymore? The world is coming to an end.

Not strange in the slightest. Britian has as many tornadoes as the United States. It's only now one of them can actually cause some substantial damage.

One hit Birmingham this time last year, as I recall. Lasted all of 2 minutes.

Well, I read today that scientists in France reported that swallows did not immigrate this year. Who the hell wants to stay in France anyway? :|

I can accept the facts there maybe, but you can't tell me it's not strange. Sorry.

Well, it's rare. Admittedly, the fact it's happened two years running does point the finger towards global melting.

No it doesn't. I'm not denying climate change, you'd have to be a complete moron and/or employed by an oil company to do that, but two tornados doesn't say that at all. Every year there are odds that a tornado will strike London. The odds are small, but they are there. If you flipped a coin 100 times there would be a time when heads came out 6 times in a row perhaps. The odds of flipping 6 heads in a row in 6 tries is low, but given enough chances, it will happen eventually.

The odds of a tornado might go up, but this could also be just mother nature.

It's been storming here all day. Windspeeds of 130 km/h and I had to bike into it. :(

Although on my way back I was almost flying with 130 km/h in my back lol. :D
