Too slow performance in PES2008?

Hello. I have a 17' HP notebook with a Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz 4MB Cache with 2GB RAM GeForce 8600M GS 512MB and a Vista 64-bit Ultimate OS, and I can't run the game properly on 1280x720/high detail settings, which is the first widescreen resolution. I know it's a pretty high setting and all, but I didn't buy this PC to play games at a low detail level. Is this alright or am I missing anything? I have DX10 and latest card drivers installed, by the way.

my guess would be graphics, i have no idea about the specific spec of that graphics card but in laptops they can almost never reach the same level as standard PCs - heating and whatnot.

hmmm...might be an issue related with 64 bit Vista...not sure.

Your laptop seems fine to play PES...are you sure u have the latest drivers for ur mobo/gfx card ? Also, have u installed the official patch from Konami ?
