Too Easy

This game is way too easy. EA really needs to get their act together, until then I'll stick with PES.

Even with fantastic guys like NK who will (hopefully) be making patches for this, I don't think there's really anything they can do.

Edit: Oh yeah, and the worst thing is, online is broken for me. The game always disconnects sometime in the first half. Now is this because whoever I play is a sore loser (I'm always winning at the time) or is something screwy with my game?

too Easy m8, shows couple thing u pack ur side wif superstars or ur playing crap oppotents, like im playing worldclass and winning some game 3-0 but other quiet tight. Well i havnt played PES so wat does it have tht fifa 07 doesnt.

I can tell you exactly what PES has that FIFA does not have.

-weak azz commentry............been like it for years and they refuse to do anything about it.........totally lame.

-fairy land EPL and stadiums.........1 or 2 licences each title, awesome lol

-weak atmosphere, generally every sound that comes out the speakers is poor.

-cheating AI, not only do most loose balls fall to the AI, but they get more free kicks, and become perfect passers of the ball, no matter what the skill of the team when they are losing...........and dont bother anyone trying to say otherwise, ive seen it so many times so dont even bother.

-a lazy ass company...........name the improvements from PES3?

oh but wait it does have better gameplay, its always been good, so what have they done for the countless years to the title...............nothing much thats what.

Ive read plenty of post from the same type, oh its too easy, i score like 5 goals in 5 minutes, im too good for this game............well go play your PES the 4th one you have paid for thats basically the same game...........now that is funny!

I get the impression that PES is much harder than Fifa. Maybe thats why so many try it...dont have success right away...and then ends up in the Fifa-camp defending the Fifa game no matter how bad/good it is at the time. Usually many of these Fifa-defenders tell PES people that they need to play Fifa more in order to learn and really get into the game. Well the same goes to those who try PES. I have the feeling many cant get used to it right away, curses it and quits it.

Tell me have u seen, ahem, 'gameplay patches' for Pro Evo ? And then for FIFA?... Sure they have the licenses, the amazin audio, presentation but they main thing that a game requires is gameplay n that does not measure upto PES...period. They r improvin but its not good enough....well atleast for me (:/)

Just try FIFA 07 once, and you'll know how much improved the gameplay is. I've switched from PES 5 to FIFA 07 and believe me it's amazing.

Right im going to say something now. Im sick of all this stick to PES for in depth gameplay... YEAH that would be the gameplay where 99.9% of it is CPU controlled and on rails! Every Pass you Play the CPU does the power and most of the general direction of it... FIFA 07 Xbox 360 manual passing you can determine the power of the pass and most of the direction of it! now thats in depth!

The CPU on harder levels talks the biggest load of crap going on PES (yes I have got PES6 and its still the same) gameplay feels stiff and control of your players is if anything worse! FIFA 07 on Xbox 360 feels much more free and the CPU doesnt talk bollocks if you play against a good team they play well!

Also Slow defenders STILL catch fast strikers! I made 2 strikers in Edit Mode on PES6 and gave them 99 for accelleration and 99 for top speed which should make them absolute legends when it comes to pace yet the CPU's slow defender STILL caught them and tackled them every time or fouled them!

You call this in depth gameplay and realism? Im sorry to say this but for 8 years ive always played FIFA over PES, this year I mean it when I say FIFA is a better game for PES... even current gen FIFA is better to play than PES!

If you like the Almost Fully Automatic football that PES provides you with then yes go with PES... if you like a bit of realism and a technical game of football which for once is realistic then id say go with FIFA.... I cant believe im saying this but after playing FIFA 07's demo and PES6 on PS2 this is how I feel.

Thanks guys that brought me up to pace with PES, sound like it has it good it bad just like every game. Yes and i have to say i hate when a defender in his 70's can catch a guy in 90's.

Another thing fifa players stat r not right. eg A. cole is better defender than 84, too many strikers have pace around the 90 mark.And W. Gallas sprint speed of 81 well i get up in the early hours of the morning too watch premier league, when he played 4 cheslea and Arsenal and let me tell u he is lot fast than a lot of strikers, Henry is about only one that i have clearly seen quicky than gallas, in the game every one going past him.

yea some of the stats are a bit stupid, but hey thats life, i just love the licencin thou, it just makes it much mroe easier and cooler to play when u have real plays not fakes like rood Shifty nesterlrooy

Lets face it, all these games have their faults. EA FIFAs is that they have become lazy. The same bugs propagate through every version which frankly shouldn't be that much trouble to fix. EA feels they must have a corner on the market (and they might) but they could do a hell of a lot better. As for gameplay, its inherently flawed.
Eventually it becomes too easy for the most experienced of players, and thats why we rely on gameplay updates from people like NK football, who frankly through his hard work has made it possible for me to enjoy FIFA06 so long (I havent even bought 07 yet).

Skill points - I am not sure how they arrive at these numbers either. Its bound to be 99% subjective. So naturally many players are going to have skill sets that dont even remotely reflect the true player. But you know what? Thats why EA allows you to edit the atrributes. You can choose what you want. Back in the much older versions of FIFA, the programmers used to have themselves inserted in the game (this is prior to 96) with ridiculous attributes and I am not sure you could edit.

I'd hope so. CPU has to be programmed with lowest spec gaming platform in mind. If you can't beat it with practice you're holding the human race back. Get some friends and play them instead.
