This is starting to really piss me off now

When i start a match the commentry reads "(opposition x) comes out early looking for a goal" and guess what i'm one nil down in the first ten minutes its started happening every away match now, when i do finally draw level it says "team x push forward looking for goals" and guess what they get one no matter how much i fiddle with the team instructions menu during a match i cant stop it happening, what am i doing wrong? and what can i try to sort it? i've assembled a half decent first division team so i should be doing better than 3rd!!

Alright then....first things first. Post a screenie of your squad and WE'LL judge if they are any good. Here are a couple of things (and some 'golden rules', if you like) which may help:

1) don't piss about with your tactics every game, especially not 'in game'. To give a tactic a proper test give it about 5 games to fully kick in. Giving your players contradictory instructions every five minutes will just confuse them.
Incidentally, what tactics are you currently using? If you don't have a good one I can mail you one of mine, or perhaps one of the other lads will if your stuck.

2) Only play fresh players if possible. I don't play a player under 95% condition unless I really have to.

3) Get good coaches and fill up all of the coaching positions. Good coaches are essential IMO and most clubs, even the top ones only start with one or two. I always use 5, which gets my younger players stats up quicker.

4) Does your keeper suck anus (like Rony watching Man City, eh TROD)
Chiotis can be picked up for very little money and is a top class keeper.

If you can get through that lot then you should be able to get some significant improvement.

Cheers lads, nearly sorted it, dont conceed an early goal away any more but i dont score either so i'm the 0-0 away specialist just finished the season 2nd in Div 1 only missing top spot by a point tactic is 4-1-2-1-2 with the full backs making runs to midfield and the AMC making runs upfront squad is;

aint clever enough to find/use one of these editors your on about defoe aint all that anyway plays **** constantly will be up for sale if he dont improve next season, i got him legit cause he fell out with glen roeder (sp) about first team football or summat like that. wallwork requested a transfer i was first in with a bid. Butt wasnt legit but he had requested a transfer but wouldnt accept my contract so i fixed that. Samba and georcelin were bought and paid for. the only player i have coming in is yakubu ayegbeni paid 600k!! cause he wanted a bigger challenge and m/haifa wanted to unload him.

Alright smart arse, what AM/FC would you sign bearing in mind i cant afford aghahowa and nikiforenko wont get a work permit

Well, off the top of my head, there's Lunden, Eldar H., Moukoko, Barsom...

You can pick any of those up for between 250,000 and 2 mil.

Cheers for that list of AM/FC's, although i've just bought De boer for 1.2m and in pre season he's looking very good but for the long term i'll check out the ones you mentioned.
