The tough decision on Fifa 16 or 21

Hey all,

I know all of you are on this forum because you prefer Fifa 16. I just played a few matches, and it is fun with the gameplay sliders changed. However, I can't decide what I like better. What is everyone's opinion on 16 and why it is better/worse than 20 and 21?

I got 3 Fifa games, 16,18 and 20, personally for me, 18 was not required at all.

Now from watching video's yesterday, people love fifa 16 due to the fact matches and the game itself seem to be playing a lot better (more like an arcade soccer game), whereas fifa 20 & 21 have started to take an approach to the realistic style of football (and in terms of gameplay), not everyone seems to be enjoying that.

From my own experience, i don't buy Fifa games for FUT (i'm belgian, so EA was forced to take out those buyable packs either way), i buy them for the female football patches that are around on this forum now, and wait untill the fifa games are super cheap (like fifa 20 i recently got for not even 10€).

For me, Fifa is just a game that i use to create my own competition in leaving the CPU to play the game.
I don't play fifa myself.

From my experience though, neither are perfect, even if fifa 16 plays alot better, i want the matches to last as long as possible, without ridicilous scores.

Fifa 16 can very much deliver that with tweaks, but since the game is older, it's pretty much an arcade soccer in a nutshell. (without the tweaks)

Fifa 20 on the other hand is from last year, and started making height, weight etc real factors in the game, also heard they drastically changed the stamina around, especially in fifa 21. (with anything below 80 as considered "crap")

I would just buy both for cheap, and not from origin itself, and see which one you like the most.

As a last, Fifa 20 comes with alot more options, and the matches in Fifa 20 will feel alot more immersive than fifa 16. (that just lacks all these features)

I still keep FIFA 16 because I can't run anything more advanced. Plus I have my own national teams' RTWC mod that I play everyday! :D I find it's a lot easier to attack & score than defend, however (maybe that's also just my playing style).

You must be kidding right?
16 arcadish, 20 and 21 realistic
FIFA 16 is the closer simulation EA has ever made. 20 and 21 are FUTers abominations with inexistant AI defending and also poor players movements (skating) and poor players collisions.

Sorry, but no, Fifa 16 is also still far from perfect, especially without any tweaks, and i feel that even with tweaks, the AI intentionally passes the ball wrong and poorly, to even making poor plays, in one match for example, between the womans team sweden and germany, there was this one moment where kosovare asslani just bumps the ball in her own goal, and keeper doesn't see it coming in time.

Then male teams, Belgium vs england, another own goal by vertonghen with a action where he should of have gotten the ball away, but instead launches the ball past courtois in goal.

Without any changes and tweaks, you can see matches go to 5-1, 6-1, which to me is not at all even close to realistic. Fifa 16 also seems out of the box, plagued by the issues that even a much weaker team can catch up with obvious faster players from the other teams, that is from my experience, but in Fifa 16 the stats mean not enough if you leave the game as is.
