pass speed = 40 42 is also ok, its what i used to have it on, the slower the ball the tougher it is to attack and the easier it is to defend

line width = 32 for tight match or 60 for much better game
full back positioning = 70 this is something ive not experimented with i guess i wanted the defence to be hard to break down but messing around with this I see that it makes a much better game, could be ok as high as 100

I think most of the settings I used are self explanatory but I will explain which ones are related etc, line height being at 75 is very important because most professional football clubs attempt to maintain their defensive line as far from the goal as possible, this will ensure the teams do not give up territory too easily, this figure has been arrived from studying scottish football matches on tv, the simulation sliders are based on premiership and Champions League. 75 will ensure there are good battles for the ball in midfield and the defense will take care of any counter attacks with these sliders its cool

Line length is related to run frequency, with line length at 32 it is a fair average of what you would expect to see in a match with the run frequency ensuring your team get into attacking positions, this also adds to the game because it means that if you use manual passing you are required to anticipate where to pass the ball rather than passing straight to a static player which isnt very interesting and makes for a dull game of football. So this setting is favouring attacking football. If you reduce run frequency to very low value then you would also need to increase line length to ensure that you have enough players in good attacking positions. For me run frequency looks realistic and recommend you pick between 87-90.

Line width is 60 for a few reasons but mainly so that cpu players do not stand about like they dont know that you are there, so it ensures all players get involved in defense however in real football it would be less than this but it does bring another 2 things to the game, it makes defending that bit more challenging and opens the game up providing more passing opportunities but possibly the best aspect of it as far as gamplay is concerned is that passes are not so short that it becomes boring and you feel good about your passes if you use manual controls, there also seems to be an issue with performing short passes in fifa 13 on default pass speed which results in the ball being hit too hard and going out of play etc. 60 is good but 50 may be fine but game will not be as much fun.

The first touch control error is important against the cpu because it adds authenticity to the matches but against another person it takes something away from the game and its much better to increase speed and acceleration instead because it adds a lot of fun because it requires faster reaction times, increases the amount of closing down of the man on the ball and even increases injuries, so its all good and adds a lot to a match but against the cpu it will just make you hate the game because its unfair to you.

marking at 89 against cpu with these sliders is in my opinion what you would expect from a game on tv but against another human opponent I increased marking to 91 because the cpu is better at defending, but also because it reduces the gap between teams of different star levels and ensures a more realistic balance to ensure that a lower star team can take on a higher star team without getting a hiding everytime. So its good if you play your friends in a champions league and you all have a team in each group and someone plays their opponents for example, so really good at 91 against human to make great games.

For the simulation sliders the marking is best at 91 against CPU because the lower line height creates more space in the midfield and your defenders are easily caught out on a counter attack unless they stay with their man but at 75 line height 89 marking is good.

How can I set the sliders to change the most annoying thing:

Clearence shots.

I'm talking about the clearence shots or goal kicks, when you do a clearence to relieve some opponent's attacks. It also works, in the goal kicks.

In those situations, It happens a lot of unrealistic moves. Always the ball falls on a unmarked player, I said ALWAYS! Hardly any times the ball falls for an air contest. Even more! when the unmarked player controls the ball, you are close to get a good goal's opportunity. This is an utopia. In real life, that's no happens. What happens in real life, indeed: A heading dispute between defender and attacker. Depending of the case, can happen another dispute on the air with other players, and if the ball still is in the air, there are another dispute, until someone managed to control the ball permanently.

by chance there is some way to set sliders to stop this bug?
If so, it will kill to birds with only one shot, cause the high press will increase, and it will get more difficult to build playing from goalkick or defense freekick.

if what you mean is how to alter the gameplay to make balls from goalkicks and goalkeeper punts 50-50 affairs instead of defender always winning the ball.
The answer to that is to edit the positions of all of your players in your formation.
you position your men as far forward as possible without them requiring to have their position changed.
To fine tune the team play around with the other edit options but mine work fine, i usually win long punts from my goalkeeper in online seasons im sure i will win them against cpu but ive not played against the cpu in a long time now.
if you do this for your opponent cpu team they will play more offensively and not sit back like they seem to do.
my biggest complaint about the cpu is that it is so boring to play against but if you did this for fifa 12 it would be an amazing experience, i know i tried it and loved it, then maybe use somebodys sliders to compliment that, i did it with orions or krebsters i think and it worked a treat,
i dont think it was my sliders but it may have been but if you edit the positions of the players for each position and dont change the sliders then playing fifa 12 and possibly 13 would be 200 times better than default and you wont need any sliders.

so editing the position of your players to be as far forward as possible without changing their positions means that game sliders are unnecessary to get a good game of football.
