Orions are the most realistic sliders I have seen, mine are only more challenging and approaching a simulation - so ill post orions sliders below mine so you can canabilise them and use what you want from each

Just been playing with user and cpu on the same values

I think most of the settings I used are self explanatory but I will explain which ones are related etc, line height being at 75 is very important because most professional football clubs attempt to maintain their defensive line as far from the goal as possible, this will ensure the teams do not give up territory too easily, this figure has been arrived from studying scottish football matches on tv, the simulation sliders are based on premiership and Champions League. 75 will ensure there are good battles for the ball in midfield and the defense will take care of any counter attacks with these sliders its cool

Line length is related to run frequency, with line length at 32 it is a fair average of what you would expect to see in a match with the run frequency ensuring your team get into attacking positions, this also adds to the game because it means that if you use manual passing you are required to anticipate where to pass the ball rather than passing straight to a static player which isnt very interesting and makes for a dull game of football. So this setting is favouring attacking football. If you reduce run frequency to very low value then you would also need to increase line length to ensure that you have enough players in good attacking positions. For me run frequency looks realistic and recommend you pick between 87-90.

Line width is 60 for a few reasons but mainly so that cpu players do not stand about like they dont know that you are there, so it ensures all players get involved in defense however in real football it would be less than this but it does bring another 2 things to the game, it makes defending that bit more challenging and opens the game up providing more passing opportunities but possibly the best aspect of it as far as gamplay is concerned is that passes are not so short that it becomes boring and you feel good about your passes if you use manual controls, there also seems to be an issue with performing short passes in fifa 13 on default pass speed which results in the ball being hit too hard and going out of play etc. 60 is good but 50 may be fine but game will not be as much fun.

The first touch control error is important against the cpu because it adds authenticity to the matches but against another person it takes something away from the game and its much better to increase speed and acceleration instead because it adds a lot of fun because it requires faster reaction times, increases the amount of closing down of the man on the ball and even increases injuries, so its all good and adds a lot to a match but against the cpu it will just make you hate the game because its unfair to you.

marking at 89 against cpu with these sliders is in my opinion what you would expect from a game on tv but against another human opponent I increased marking to 91 because the cpu is better at defending, but also because it reduces the gap between teams of different star levels and ensures a more realistic balance to ensure that a lower star team can take on a higher star team without getting a hiding everytime. So its good if you play your friends in a champions league and you all have a team in each group and someone plays their opponents for example, so really good at 91 against human to make great games.

For the simulation sliders the marking is best at 91 against CPU because the lower line height creates more space in the midfield and your defenders are easily caught out on a counter attack unless they stay with their man but at 75 line height 89 marking is good.

yeah but its a pity they dont really make an interesting game, the sliders i made are best for 2 player offline matches but against the cpu it is doable to beat it fair and square but likely it will take a lot of clever team management to do ok in a career but there is no accomplishment if you give the cpu lower slider settings, you just cheating and fooling yourself, i would rather lose than cheat personally but its got to be a game worth playing to begin with, on default its not even close, fifa 11 was best game to play cpu in career at least its an improvement on the rubbish default settings

you misquoted me, you must be angry, I said if you are honest you wouldnt find much wrong with these, didnt say they were perfect but watch the spain v portugal game and you will find its pretty similar type of gameplay in regards to how many men are behind the ball and their positions etc, its obviously gonny change from country to country though cos these 2 teams play short passing game but most teams do these days I'm sure, it would be nice if you could try them out and suggest improvements

Besides, a couple of slider tweaks are not going to magically improve FIFA's gameplay in any significant way. I can tell you havnt even tried the slider settings I gave but at the end of the day I'm just trying to save peoples game that they forked out 40 hard earned bucks for, I personally was completely pissed by fifa 13 and fifa 12 but I now think the game was worth the money for the novelty of having a realistic football game to play and so maybe it is you who has ego problems, i can understand that because i got on the case and fixed everyone elses problems they were getting nowhere with, they were wasting their time and mine for taking the time to try them, i am a firm believer in the words, if you are going to do something then do it right and the only way to do that is to plan your task properly, no one seems to have did that and they dont provide an explanation for their slider settings, likely because they didnt bother to take the 10 minutes to see what they actually do one at a time. At the end of the day if you dont want to improve your fifa 1000 fold then thats up to you

Who said it wasn't worth the money? It's just that the game out of the box is a craptastic speedfest. Without a major amount of player and team editing, it's basically arcade garbage. And no, a couple of slider tweaks makes no real difference to the gameplay.

BTW, I just noticed you play on normal speed. Even on slow speed, FIFA 13 is too fast by half. Instead of wasting your time with sliders, you'd be wise to spend some time looking around this site. Become familiar with all the gameplay, db and tactics mods people have made available for download which, unlike the sliders, do in fact impact and improve the gameplay significantly.

wont work cos i play on ps3 and xbox 360, ive tried it on slow, there is not enough closing down by players for my liking, i dont mind if its a little fast as long as its all in proportion, when i first got it i was playing on fast with 80 speed and accelaration for offline 2 player games, it was alright for a while and kind of reminded me of fifa 11 which i thought was an excellent game, but the first touch control error makes fifa 11 obsolete now, i cant play it anymore, i was thinking of trading in fifa 13 cos i was bored with the matches against the cpu but played with my settings in 2 player matches last night and it felt pretty dam realistic, i love the first touch control error the most cos thats the bit that makes fifa 13 most like real football, on 50 and slow you hardly notice it and i think although fifa 13 kind of accurately simulates how footballers behave there is far too much space, google spain v portugal euro 2012 on bbci player tactical camera view to see how far wrong fifa 13 is on default

both bro, ive not tried them on world class yet but if you prefer professional you just increase the marking of the user and cpu to be higher above 89 and it gets tough to break them down, I think if its too high though they stand near side not goal side of the strikers at the 18 yard box and you cant pass to them
