RUSI, why would we want to send Fernando Morientes away, along with MORE money, for Michael Owen?

Morientes > Owen

It is extremely hard to find any striker in Europe in better form than Morientes at the moment. He is scoring goals every time he's on the pitch, leading scorer in the CL last season, a fan favourite and Spanish international.

Moro must stay.

However, Real assistant sporting director Emilio Butragueno has declared Los Merengues are focusing all their efforts on landing Vieira from Arsenal, and have not made enquiries for Owen.

I understand the importance of signing Vieira, but we must get more defensive reinforcements.

They're rumored to have put a 4 M Euro asking price on him, so the rumors from various places must have some truth to them.

We sell Roque Junior (he sucks) and Martin Laursen, we don't have a lot of depth at the defense position. Maldini may retire after this year or Costacurta and i bet he will return to Milan to play right away.

sadly, and stupidly on Milans part, id bet a lot of money Coloccini is sold, rather than loaned out this summer. Other than Juve waiting too long to buy a defencemen, this has to be the worst transfer move of the summer.
