Quaresma is like ronaldo he goes in the box he doesnt cross right away, simao and nani cross the ball more so i think one of those 2 should start on the left when Almedia starts becuase hes great in the air... his goal he scored Nuno gomes wouldnt have scored that
ronaldo should be captain of the NT but only in the future
unless he gets serioulsy injured he'll certainly be the player with more games for the portuguese NT ever

Agreed Fili. Ronaldo and Quaresma don't do half of what they actually do in their teams. But I believe that in the real thing (Euro 2008), they will play their best. After all, it is Euro 2008 against qualifier, damn.

It's truly the squad. Purovic still does something. He scored one today and gave us one point against Setubal. I think he deserves another opportunity, he looks better than Djalo...
Had, Celsinho, Farnerud and Paredes aren't players for Sporting. Djalo and Ronny don't do a sh*t. Abel was too bad to say the words today...Derlei got injured, bad luck...
Our hope is that Veloso and Liedson keep carrying Sporting. They are the only ones doing something around. Stoijkovic, Moutinho and the CB are ok for now...but with guys playing like that...dude, winning today and going to next round is truly a miracle.

But that defeats the purpose that this team is compeltely underperforming.
Everybody seems to be underperforming. Ya liedson scored 2 goals yesterday, but come on its fatima and a player like liedson should always score against these teams. But he's been underperforming this year. Moutinho has been a shadow of himself (or maybe he was just way to overhyped by the media and his true colours are showing). Veloso has been okay, but not as good as last year. Polga's been a rock. your bug signings have been flops. Djalo is proving to be anither media product.
I though Sporting would challenge Porto till the end (and that may still happen as Jesualdo is Porto's coach and 2nd half collapses are his specialty) but instead your playing at a level that Benfica's team is playing at, and they have possibly their worst team they've had in the past 10 years or so.

If you want pace put Djalo next to Obikwelu. He's has great potential, but P.Bento is totally destroying him.
