I reckon he's still injured though, probably with the usual sprained vagina.

First goal is amazing, though I admit Purovic does a foul in the start. If only Sporting played the whole match like this play...

Whatever, 3 points. (H)

Good to hear that. As I said before, he has some potential that must not be wasted...

Btw, Azerbeijan 0 - Portugal 2 FT

We did a nice first half...and the result could have been better, 2 balls in the post and some unbeliavable misses from Veloso and Ronaldo for example...still, we are in second place right now! Finland had another 0-0 tie against Belgium and Portugal has 20 points, just like Finland, but while Finland has +5 in goal difference, we have +12.

Hooray! Now it's just hold on..

Decent match, we could have scored a couple more but the match was enterily ours, as expected

Quaresma was completely useless today, umbelievable!

Veloso did pretty well, and damn, it's nice to have Carvalho back, what a difference!

yea im one of the guys who always says Quaresma should play more and stuff but wow he was horrible yesterday eerything he did was horrible... Veloso had some great long passes that always hits the players and did well covering back, wouldnt mind him starting over Petit sometimes

Yeah, Quaresma didn't do a sh*t.

Thumbs up for Carvalho, the man totally makes the difference in our defensive line. Ricardo even though he didn't have much work looked weirdly confident. Almeida was well in the first half, but missed some things in the second half. But for me, MoM has to be Veloso. Great cover and long passing skills, in May, there he goes...

I have to agree there Moreira_Benfica. In games where we need fast transitions and keep on pressuring, I think Veloso would be very useful. In game where we need to fight and battle most of the time, Petit is needed. Even better would be the use of both, but Maniche and Deco are looking ok for now.

yea thats how we should use it.. and yea your right Veloso is gone after this season, and IMO Sporting will get more money from him then they did from Nani

Yeah I wasn't impressed by the performance either.. Quaresma was bad, but C.Ronaldo's selfishness is becoming unbearable to watch. I think I counted about 3 times yesterday where he could have made a simple pass to someone for a clear shot at goal but instead tried the impossible or do everything himself.

I think it's also ridiculous to make him captain of the team when he's probably the least mature player on the roster. I just hope we don't f*ck up against Kazakstan, the Borat jokes will get way out of hand.

Was thinking the same thing. R. Carvalho or Ricardo would of been better options.

Like you guys said Veloso should be used more often and Almeida is also a good option to play alongside Nuno Gomes in some matches, imo. Of course, Scolari never plays with two strikers, so..

Carvalho would be the ideal captain for sure, one has to remember the other Ricardo's girly voice would definitely not help him at being respected by opponents, referees or even his teamates.
plus, there's sh't like this:
