given who we have signed maybe a roma style formation would be effective. playing wityh out a 'real' striker but with attacking midfielders, i mean given both rooney and ronaldo both bagged over 20 goals each, youd expect the new signings to grab a few as well as the rest of team, i honestly dont think we need a 20+ goal a season style striker these days,

Personally, I would like another striker to come in but would also like to see Rossi get his chance. Talent-wise, he's potentially in the Rooney/Ronaldo bracket. He's that good. He just needs regular football. I know he's scored 9 in 19 for Parma, but have you seen the type of goals he's scored?

i think nani and anderson can switch roles often as both can play on the wings and center. of course both will eventually replace scholes and giggs. also c.ronaldo finally has someone to speak to in his native language other than the ass.man.

Anderson will probably get it, 10 is a big number in South American football. Hargreaves will probably take 23 from Richardson (seems to have stuck with it) Nani will probably get the lowest available number.

Anyway we shall find out in due time.

Glazer earmarks a agreed budget for transfers each year, but has always told David Gill that money is available should a player become available that SAF has identified (like Rooney fpr example) United's budget will be bolstered by prize money and the new EPL tv package too. I would guess that United will go for a striker this summer.
