take it with a grain of salt:

But it's just been reported on Radio Manchester:

Real have made a bid of 40 million Euros for Ronaldo. The reports said that united would want at least 70 million nEuros. No official statement on bid from Club as yet.

oh and on a side note: Le Guen gone from Rangers, why not take him to OT and build him for a future manager...

Real Madrid should just **** off, haven't they bought enough players already?

Real Madrid can just die already. They'll never get Ronaldo, NEVER. If Ronaldo could be convinced to stay when he's hated by almost everyone in England, what reason will he have to leave, especially if he wins the title?

I guess you'r right!
why would he leave? we are on top of the table and he has the season of his life.i think he will be the player of the season too.

The one reason Man Utd wouldn't sell him is because they'd definitely lose this seasons title without him, its January, why sell your best peformer when you don't need to. Can't see it happening ever, it would only ever happen in the summer if Ronaldo was unsettled.

Seems like Bayern are finally accepting that Hargreaves is going to go sooner or later. I'd like to see us get him this transfer window to boost the squad for the title chase but the Summer is probably more realistic considering what Gill said.

Fergie's being his usual mystical self about transfers:

"We may sign someone in January, there may be a couple of signings in January.

"Who knows? We are looking at some things."

Don't listen to Beckenbauer. He's there for representation only and not for the operative business.

German football champion Bayern Munich reiterated on Friday that their England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is not for sale despite big interest from English league leaders Manchester United.

"We have made it very clear: Owen is not for sale at the moment. Therefore we don't need to discuss this," said general manager Uli Hoeness at the team's winter-break training camp in Dubai.

Well now he's actually named a price: £20 million
