OK I got the rosters to work but still no online. Once your patch install curretly u need to go to reset rosters and then it will update them. For rosters to be updated follow the instructions given when you start FIFA 07. Team management - > reset squads.

Sorry don't know about OZ update...

The patch finally works for me! You need to download the correct patch for your location and it must be installed with the original exe. Then install the patch, go into the game, Team Managment, My Squads and Reset your old squads and it askes you if you wanna install the online squads.. Then you will see alot of transfer changes altough many say some still missing! However till now i am happy with the patch!

You are wrong my friend! This is not on the readme and also its not the right way to patch a game. Wait, when u patch ur game u will see. This is an amateur kinda patch which makes no sense for a company like EA. With all their time to "test" it's still not coordinated correctly... WTF

Simon or Jake, since your squads are updated can you post your fifa.db file so that i can overwrite mine with yours. I believe that this will fix my transfer problems. Thanks. Also I'm not sure which patch you need to download for the australian version, sorry try checking the ea forums, it may be usefull.

I don't think that the.fifa.db changes cause its still 2.21MB. Every time that I start FIFA I need to go and update those damn rosters... Is anyone else experiencing this?? Even though I save my profile it doesn't really save it... again...WTF...

Here is the deal.. I now know why I'm having issues... If you modified your game in any freaking way and although u installed the patch and even though you can have the latest rosters... IF YOU MODIFIED ANYTHING IN THE GAME IT WILL NOT LET YOU GO ONLINE... even after you patched it! I'm trying to pin point exactly what will work and what wont. I have updated my turf, audio, kits, adboards, and a few others so I'm testing to see what is the root of the problem.. It may be any of the above but I hope not! I normally don't want to be a rude mofu but this time I had it. **** YOU EA SPORTS thanks for wasting my time doing ur ******* work. I will see you in court!

EDIT: I figured my issue out... it had to do with my templates in foreign language. I'm all good to go now.. At least until the next EA horror :jap:

There are two separate 'issues' at work here folks.

Firstly, when you use the in-game editor to change a single thing about the players in the game - whether that be a transfer, adding an accessory, changing a single attribute, creating a player, anything at all - the game saves ALL of the player related data to the 'D. My Squads' data file. This is why you need to delete that file, or reset it from within the game, in order to see any changes to FIFA.DB data.

Secondly, the patch is a genuine 'patch' rather than what the community generally calls a patch. A patch of this sort expects the files it is updating to match those supplied with the game and then applies changes to those files rather than simply replacing them with potentially disastrous consequences (which is what the community patches tend to do). Therefore if you have edited your FIFA data in any way, using external programs like DB Master, FIFAData or UniDB, then the patch will fail to apply the updates to those changed files (which is one of the reasons for the 'old file found' error). If you are running a cracked version of the game, even if it is 'just' a no-CD/DVD crack, then that version of the .EXE will differ from the original and the patch will fail to update the .EXE as part of the process.

Of course all this is complicated by the plethora of localised versions of the game, which may or may not have been sold into the 'wrong' territories, so you also have to get the version of the patch that matches your version, which isn't going to be an easy task.

So, the moral of the tale is don't try and apply this patch to a customised version of the game, and delete your squads file if you would like to see the updated player data.

I got mine working. For Australians, download the Nordic English Patch. Not UK or U.S English. After you installed the patch, you MUST reset your squad, then go to team management and change whatever you want.

'Old file error' occurs when you downloaded wrong language patch. It looks like you live in Hong Kong? Then try Nordic English patch since HK and Australia both have Asian-Pacific version.

here is one solution to find out the version of your game:
i was thinking i had the Nordic version since i live in Norway and got the game here,well that was not the case it was the UK version.also there was some people in the Philippines that got the Nordic version,so do this:

Go into the registry (START...RUN...regedit)

Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA SPORTS\FIFA 07

It will be under "region"

I also had to make a clean install of fifa 07 to make the patch install !

FIFA07_DD_NORDIC_ENG.zip. What does DD mean? I installed the file and still get the old file error. Ive checked my region and is Nordic. Must i register EA online? I live in Singapore. Which file must i download? Where is the fifapace file located? Why does EA put everything in short form whithout any detail?:(
