Chelsea being champions doesn't automatically mean maximum attendance.

Overcharging doesn't necessarily mean a big drop in attendance. Besides, less fans with higher prices could be financially better than more fans with lower prices.

That is not the point.

Ordinary fans are being priced out of watching their team.

I agree, but I don't think a money-hungry board cares about that.

No one is disputing that this is a lousy decision that will disable a lot of people from watching their team, but it could prove to be a financial success, which is what they're aiming for. The point of this is not to bring misery to Arsenal fans, but to bring more money to Arsenal. It's a bad decision overall, but could be a good one money-wise.

People will pay this money though, the demand and waiting list for tickets is huge

I know if I were a rich arsenal fan in England I would pay the price. However, since I cant afford that I would just go for the cheaper tickets. Now im pretty sure their are some wealthy ppl in London and worldwide that would pay anything to watch the Gunners play. Only time will tell whether it was the right decision or not. Peace.

Exactly. Anyway this is London prices, we pay more for land so we have to charge more. The average person is probably a lot more wealithier in London than anywhere outside anyway.

Pretty foreign to us North American folk that folks over in Europe get bent up about premium seats for the equivalent of 200 dollars Canadian, or 190 American.......wow. The Basketball equivalent of those seats here would be $250-400, Hockey? $400-650.......meh.

About a third of The Grove...............18--20k. But you've got to take into account the number of regular season games played in those sports, though...........82.........41 home games to the EPL's 19.

Walcott scored in 3 minutes, and when he got the ball he looked dangerous, he's got one hell of a shot on him. But he was quiet and didn't see enough of the ball for my liking. He's only 17 though.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon insists Arsenal hold the key if they are to sign Jose Antonio Reyes from the London club.

Calderon said signing Mahamadou Diarra from Lyon was the club's priority.

"Reyes will come only if Arsenal meet our conditions," he told Spanish daily AS. "I'm not going to waste a euro.

"I feel sorry for the lad if the deal doesn't come off, but we've no arrangement to sign him at all costs. Arsenal will have the last word."

I think the club is handling, the transfers of Cole and Reyes very well. We shouldnt give in to the players transfer demands.

Especially to that arragant prick, hes our player your meeting our conditions

Classic Madrid. Arsneal want 25 mill euros, they offer 15 mill. Unsettle the player until his position is untenable and then lower the price.

We've been linked with Simao.

:| Reyes has been unsettled from the time that he arrived in London and he has made no secret of it ( Damn Madrid the bastards ), he has said time and time again that he wants to move here ( ******* Madrid ), oh and have fun keeping a player that has been unsettled for quite some time now ( this should piss him off even more considering how bad he wanted to move ). :ewan:

I understand that, but you've tried it so many times. And you've done to hundreds of clubs. Look at Anelka? You're doing the same with Diarra. There is NO need for publicing coming out.

Umm Diarra is kind of doing what Reyes is doing. He is the one that is pissed at Lyon because they wont even talk to us and he wants to move really bad ( like Reyes ). I never knew showing interest in a player was a crime? When all the media is asking about a player its kind of hard to hide it, espeically when most of the times its just the media talking ;)
