LOL yeah, Moratti states that pretty much every year, but I think last year he kind of disappointed...:(

The only great signing was really Chivu...I still hope Suazo can shine next year...

Plus he also seems to have a passion for collecting strikers...:|

But yeah I really hope he will hold true to his word. Latest rumors are that he's going to try to lure Lampard, but I don't think that's a great idea since he's close to 30 and I don't have strong recollections of English players doing well in Italy...

Personally I'd like some superstars and also some Italian youth like Aquilani...he seems promising, but I doubt Roma would give him up.

I hope Adriano stays, we could actually have a decent chance at the UCl is he reaches his potential again...just imagine Ibrahimovic and Adriano together!

But yeah, who would you guys like to have? Who do you think will come? :D

Nahhh, check out my post in the previous page of this thread... i think Adriano's ship has sailed. glad to hear he's doing better but we have too many strikers now and as good as he was, we seem pretty set on our Forwards. but he could be used for a big trade.

I agree with players not doing well when coming from the english league and vise versa... IMO, Viera really never settled in, could be the aging process or just couldn't fit the style as he was tremendous once in arsenal.

I think Hernan Crespo will leave the club soon & Suazo will be on loan back to Cagliari.

Balotelli is one plus side for us. He'll be a miracle player for Inter in CL. (H)
I hope Adriano will return as well.

have anyone heard the rumor Mancini is heading to Chelsea for next season ?? so yeah, Interista13's wish could come true.

Mourinho's Inter text to Essien
Saturday 24 May, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Former Chelsea Coach Jose Mourinho has allegedly sent Blues midfielder Michael Essien a text message, saying he will be Inter’s new boss.

The Portuguese left Stamford Bridge in September and has been repeatedly linked with the Nerazzurri.

Reports in Italy suggest the 45-year-old “Special One” ‘texted’ Essien after Chelsea lost the Champions League final on Wednesday night.

“Michael,” it read. “You have been great. On Monday I am going to Milan to sign a contract with Inter. I hope that, one day, you will be at Inter too.”

The future of current Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini has been in doubt for months despite last weekend’s Scudetto win.

Mancini infamously resigned after Inter were knocked out of the Champions League in March only to retract his decision and stay at San Siro.

The former Lazio and Fiorentina tactician will contest the Coppa Italia final against Roma this evening and end the season with the Nerazzurri.

Inter have targeted a number of Chelsea players in recent weeks, most notably Frank Lampard, seemingly in anticipation of Mourinho’s arrival.

Hoping Mancini will get the last title with Inter's tonight Coppa Italia before Mourinho coming in..

Agree with the Idea to see Quaresma next year...

Menez is expected to join the team.

Hleb could also be a good player for Inter, his work with Arsene wass really interesting this year.

I read that David Silva could join Inter.

personally would LOVE to have a player like Quaresma... having such a dynamic athlete like that can do soo much with the ball and free up space on the field... quaresma is the type of player that can be the slight leap we need to finally win the champions league and end this 30+ year drought.

If Inter wants to give 40 million for him, go ahead. I don't think that if Mourinho goes to Inter, he'll buy him, but that's just me.

And you're right, at such "young" age, I can't tell...but I'm telling you that right now, he isn't that kind of guy.

Pinning all yur hopes on 1 player won't win a team the CL...Inter tried doing that this year with Ibrahimovic, and it wasn't that successful...

To win the CL the whole team must be united and full of passion, and the coach must porvide all that. This year the team wanted to do well in the CL but when it mattered most Mancini made some pretty dumb decisions...why did he never put in Suazo or Figo?

Anyway, I never got the feeling Mancini truly wanted to focus on the CL, as he wanted the team to focus all on the Scudetto...

That's why i think Mourinho would be good, he can actually help us win the trphy that's eluded us for 40 years...

And btw, I don't believe a word of this Mourinho business until I don't see an official statement of Inter's website...

I agree but disagree as well... sometimes all you need is a missing link to the grand puzzle... i didn't say base the team all around him, of course not... more like completing the puzzle with the last piece and there's your team. inter isn't far from possibly lifting europe's biggest prize and maybe a player in the right spot could get them there. personally, i think they could have had a shot this year but injuries can ruin your chance.

Now, whether or not he is such a missing link nobody really knows that...

It seems my man Mourinho gonna be coachin you guys next year, with Mancinis agent confirming it. You guys have made one hell of a decision, brilliant manager. Wishin you guys all the best with Mourinho on the sidelines as i really hope he succeeds with you guys. But still I think I see you guys more of force in Europe now, especially at a time where the English 4 are dominating the Champions League, you guys shouldnt have a prblems with them anymore as Mourinho knows the top 4 like the back of his hand and has a good record against the english clubs.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting now with Mourinho at the helm...I know it will be an interesting summer for us at least...

I'm still not sure whether this has been a good or bad decision. Yes I wanted Mancio to leave but I'm not so sure that was so smart...Mancini has proved top be pretty much the sceond most successful coach in our history (next to Herreira)...getting 3 titles in a row is no small feat regradless of our performance in the CL...

I'm afraid Mourinho might not know Italian football as it is pretty different from English...I'm afraid he could come in here and completely f*** up the club so that we might not even win the league next year, GOD FORBID

Mentality is different too...we must in any case keep the Scudetto our main priority

But hopefully Mourinho will be a success..hopefully we can the league and CL next year...

Btw I'm not really pleased to hear many Chelsea players could follow Mourinho here as that tells me they just want to play for the coach and not truly represent the club. It would be almost as if "yeah, Inter su<ks as a club so let me bring in some REAL talent from a REAL team..."

Anyway, I'm excited to get a new coach, and hopefully we will have plenty of success (Y)

My Pops says that it looks like the Inter vs Roma Super Cup may be played @ Giants Stadium on August 24th... Last time they did this it was Juve Vs Milan several years back... was soo much fun watching Juve lose in penals but at the same time difficult to watch Milan lift a title (I don't know who i hate more, lol.). this would be my first time watching Inter live so i am very anxious for this... Anybody from the New York Tri state area?
