Seriously man, maybe you don't need to post ALL the new content from inter.it every day.

Anyway, they looked good in building that great lead, and that diamond MF was nice.

Cambiasso and Vieira got to show some of their offensive talent and Dacourt mopped up nicely. I must say that once again Toni showed his class as one of the top goal getters. That must have had you guys sweating.

Proposed Formation For Match Date: 12/09/06

My proposed formation is:

Defence and Midfield are similar to what I described in: "Proposed Formation For Match Date: 09/09/06"

Ibrahimovic should also cover the role I described in that post. I have however changed Crespo with Adriano. This is the perfect type of match for Adriano, with rather "low-level" defenders. Mancini should thus play him as a "lone attacker", as he used to play in Parma. The whole team (ibrahimovic included) should aid in crating spaces wher Adriano, foot on ball, can advance freely towadrs goal, and shoot, as he is fully able to do, even from 25+ meters.

If the board cannot be seen, I have uploaded an attachment.

Not all people have the patience to enter the site and all. So I try to provide this opportunity. It also makes the thread look very "informative".

Yeah, it did make me sweat. Toni is a great attacker.

Your formation looks good, however, I think it's better to keep 2 DM in there and have Vieira playing a sort of defensive CM role like he did on the weekend. They really played more with a DM 2 CM and AM and it looked good and allowed Maicon and Zanetti to get down the wings and provide width.

Then if you find Sporting is conceding the midfield, you can bring on more attacking MF and have him go forward, or bring on Stankovic and shift Figo over. You think Cucho is going to sit? After scoring 2 goals?

Yeah Cambiasso wasn't called into the lineup because he has a strained calf muscle :( A mid of Dacourt and Vieira will be used. With Grosso in, Maicon can move up and have more freedom along the flank. (If he starts)

That would work I guess.

Just put Vieira on the left instead of the right and have Maicon on the right, while keeping Dacourt deep behind them. Of course Maicon is a completely different player on the right side than Vieira.
Patrick is a CM who plays on the right, but is still mostly a CM. Maicon is very much more of a winger/SM type. At least since he is nominally a RB he should still be solid defensively.

Thanks (Y)

You need to be careful of a team like Sporting because they have the players to surprise and I would guess Mancini is aware of this.

Is anyone else beginning to feel like Maicon is a defensive liability. He got beat on Toni's first goal against Fiorentina and again against Sporting. I don't think Mancini should completely give up on him, but there is no way he should play over Zanetti.

Fan Favourite
Definitely. I wouldn't mind him as a winger with Zanetti backing him, but he should only be used as a fullback in critical situations.

I think we should play Zanetti on the right and Grosso on the left... hmm i want to see Maxwell play as well...

True (Y)

He doesn't look comfortable out there at RB so far in the two matches I've seen from him.
