Wome is different, he went out of his way to f*ck things up for everyone else on the field (i.e. first leg of Villarreal match). Thank God he's moved on, a heartattack every time he played. Grosso is a welcome addition to our weakest position. I too would've preferred Chiellini due to his youth and defensive superiority, but Grosso has shown he can shine in the clutch, a quality this side has lacked.
On the subject of forwards...Something's gotta give. If Mancini decides he only needs 4 strikers this season again (3.5 with Recoba's perpetually injured ass) I'm going to have an aneurysm. Adriano's not going anywhere it seems, so he's going to have to start playing like part of the team if he wants to do well. I could care less if he scores as long as he's helping the team rather than hurting it. Early in the season he was spreading the ball around and creating opportunities for others. Then it seems he realized he wasn't scoring a lot and became desperate for goals.
I'm not crazy on Trez or Ibra, they look more likely to come on a transfer than Toni though. Honestly, I'm interested in a move for Cassano. His form's been pretty poor, but maybe that means we can get him for cheap. I can't imagine he's happy in Madrid where he's behind Raul for the coach's favor. Everyone knows his money in the Serie A and he likes to link the forwards with the midfield, something else we're missing. Longshot, I know, but those are my thoughts.
