Immediately reminded me of this. :D

I love that shit. Neuer is a maniac, but never hurts the team, everything is measured. It took Kahn until he was like 35 to get to this level and Neuer has reached it at 28.

Yup. That was a god damn good match as well, pretty much meaningless as those cup winners' matches usually are, but intense nevertheless.

James Rodriguez is a little over-rated.

Without Falcao, Colombia became a one-man team. And no one had heard of James Rodriguez before this tournament. For those 2 reasons, no one marked him and that is why he got the goals.

For me, the best player of the tournament was Thomas Muller. Did you see how many assists he ended with? All of that PLUS he had 5 goals.

Rodriguez is only good for tap ins against Greece.

Not enough EPL players for you?

How was Lahm a poor leader? There's a Guardian article about him and how he established himself as the captain for Bayern and Germany. Haha stealing it under Ballack's nose lmao. Do read it. (Edit: Here.)

Just Lahm moving back to RB, Germany's defense became more stable. Just because a captain doesn't shout and bark, doesn't mean he's not leading his team.

He's okay, I'd say a traditionally good captain. But Neuer... Neuer is a GREAT captain. Not only does he have a chance to go down as the greatest keeper of all time, but he raises his game in the big moments and plays with a fire. I'll never forget him stepping up and scoring a penalty in the 2012 Champions League Final because no one else would man up.
I did see Neuer play a dreadful 2012 DFB-Pokal final vs. Dortmund (5-2). He also had several strange moments during some league games around that time, being out too far from his goal and conceding as a result. But now he's got it all under control.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

James Rodriguez had a chance to beat Brazil. He did not take it. Two other teams (Germany and Netherlands) combined to beat Brazil 10-1.

James Rodriguez - if he is really as good as he thinks (and you say) he is, then he should have done more when his team needed him the most. He did not do that.

I never said anything about the EPL. You are making it into something it is not.

Neuer won the ball. If that happens in the 6 yard box no one would even think there was a foul. And that's because there wasn't; the Goalkeeper is allowed to go up for the ball.

Nah man that was a foul. Anyway it was DEFINITELY NOT a foul by Higuain.

No, it should have been a throw in to Argentina. Again, the GK is entitled to go for the ball, and when Higuain saw that he was not going to win it he needed to move out of the way. GKs jump into players all the time in the box on corners.

Higuain came in late and did not win the ball. Keepers are allowed to do this all the time and are specifically protected in the rules.
