If I want to play a International cup I play PES3 cause there I have both great football feeling and the real names and teams etc and I can pretend it's the WC 2006...

If I want to play with Real Madrid in the Primera division I only have one option, Fifa but it feel so "scripted" and the balloon ball and small goals doesn't make it better.

I still think Fifa 2003 is better than both 2004 and 2005....

In regards to the running speed and there being a difference i agree to an extent. You could tell the difference i think. However, it seemed to me that when the computer player wanted to beat your player to a ball they would (by making your player stop, etc.)

Oh Puh-lease....

If I were to sit down and make a list of comparisons of the "bugs" WE/PES has and the WHOLE SLEW OF ATROCIOUS bugs FIFA has, the list for FIFA would be overwhelmingly larger.

It's already been established that video games are bound to have bugs in them. Nevertheless, Konami has done a great job in lowering the amount of bugs as opposed to EA's effort.

Personally I like to play both WE7i (looking forward to WE8i) as well as FIFA 2005 as each has something the other doesn't, and before anyone ponts out that PES = gameplay and FIFA = licenses I want to say I like certain aspects of gameplay in both these games, and at the same time I dislike certain aspects in both these games

As a customer and avid sportsgamer (in real life as well) I'm happy that there is a selection of games that can maximise my enjoyment of each sport, whenever a new hockeygame/footygame/nfl game comes out I have to try it, no matter who makes it, because I know that each one will have something unique, and it makes it that much easier to appreciate/evaluate newer games when they come out

None of the problems with PES i listed are termed "bugs". As far as anyone can tell, they're features since they have existed from one year to the next. Bugs can be fixed. PES's problems are their features that result from the dev's laziness to produce smart AI. Instead of having AI that is smart and tactically sound, the PES devs decided to take the shortcut route and make the AI cheat to make it more challenging. That might be fun for you since you find yourself challenged or because you lose the occasional game, but i cannot play a game that cheats to the extent that PES cheats. The game was fun for awhile, but it just wears on you when it continues to happen game after game. I'm just tired of it i guess.

Now, i haven't played FIFA in awhile. So, it might cheat just as bad. But, for me, i'm willing to give them another chance since it's been awhile since i've purchased an EA Fifa title.

If you guys don't like playing Fifa so much, then don't play the game. That way you won't have to come here and complain about it to people that actually do want to play the game. ;)

i did not however, say anything about you removing that post. I did criticize it, but did not ask you to take it down.

Ok, i respect that you are a veteran fifa player. And i DO play Winning Eleven and in fact i have Winning Eleven 8 (and its a damn good game at that).

But the fact is that FIFA 2005 is better than FIFA 2004. Some people say the graphics are worse. And you say that when 'hardcore' FIFA fans such as yourself don't get what YOU want, the game is a big dissapointment.

And yes, EA do heap loads of hype on the FIFA series and with that people have high expectations.

But you yourself, a hardcore FIFA player, should know that EA have not delivered the package since 98'. So what I am saying is that people should start to expect less of FIFA.

I certainly did for 2005. And it ain't all that bad.

...i'm very dissapointing bcoz the demo is very good compared to the full version...:kader:

btw:Back 2 '98, at dat time, EA didnt have tough competition with any games developer especially in football games...so at dat time, we feel very happy if we play fifa 98 or 99 although the gameplay isnt good...(compared 2 now...)

How is that so? I think that the full version is a lot better than the demo. On the Xbox the shooting is a lot better, teams play differently, goalkeepers aren't so super, sound is better, graphics are better, gameplay is better... everything's better. I can't understand how the demo is better than the full version.

I also feel the demo was better. I think it could depend on the "Fifa 2004" look in the 05 game and that makes you feel like it's the same old game... Just a theory...

i think he is saying the demo is better as it is easier than th full game...and the full game is more realistic...

imo...Fifa is better ...FAR better....because i am an editor and it is SOOOOO much better to edit fifa compared to PES....as Fifa has better graphics and more licenses(leading to more stuff to edit)...

and also...i dont have much time to play games...as i DO have a life...so fifa is a fun game to sit down to when you have time and want to play a little game of simulated footy...

no-one....and i mean NO-ONE...can say that PES is better from an editing point of view...because it is no where near fifa there....

and fifa gameplay can be changed so easily...you an even make you own gameplay patch to make it even better...so wait a while and fifa will be the dogs b*ll*cks

But then again, the in-game editor in PES is much more editable than FIFA mate. For example, in FIFA 2005 you can`t edit default players, so all you can do is creatin` a player from scratch and then assign it to the team you want ( I`m talkin` about for the consoles version since the PC one will get a lot of editin` stuffs from the tool makin` guys ;) ). And then, the face type in create a player in FIFA 2005 is so euro-centric while PES got different templates for different races ( Asian, African, Latins, etc ). But yeah, I agree that the PES kit template is harder to make, especially on the collars and we also have to set transparency for some parts of the kit.

From a PC standpoint FIFA is easier to edit, but for consoles PES is better to edit. But really, I don't care much about editing unless there's something I really want to change. And while FIFA have more licenced kits and stuff I find there's not much for me to edit on the console version.

I think its a bit unfair to say that you can change the gameplay. That's fair to say for the PC but since the majority of gamers play on the consoles they are out of luck.

Also the AI is really not that creative. The wing play is too predicatable that leaves the defense looking like chumps. In fact, I think its next to impossible to defense wing play and headers at times.

The part that bothers me is that you can't block a pass in FIFA. In PES atleast you couldn't stand in front the them and the pass would get deflected. In FIFA you have to tackled the player or else the ball will by headed for a goal.

After the first day I was ready to pack it in for FIFA. I played one more and I'm seeing a bit more. If it becomes fun, I'll continue playing it. But right now it feels like work.

The problem is not there !
It's not difficult to bring the RB or LB forward
The problem is that the team move not as a block ( as it was last year and as it should be )
In Fifa 2004 it was more difficult to pass defenders but there was a team feeling. No surprise because EA asked a German trainer ( Erich Rutemoeller ) to help about the formation moves.
I had the chance to see a few top CL matches in Munich last year
Most of the time all the 20 players were grouped in 40m and it was very difficult to find spaces. Modern top football is a middlefield battle
In 2005, it is easier to shine with dribbling but there is no link between the lines. There are huge gaps.
So it's up to everybody to like it or not , although I have to say that the average Fifa player always play with the same team ( generally with Real , MU or other big names ) and prefer individual actions
Maybe that explain EA's choices from this year. They wanted to please a certain category of buyers

I don't like the invidual actions.

The stepovers is the worst I've seen. The time it takes when yuo just push the "stepover" button once is the time it should go to make 8 stepovers... Not good at all...

Something tells me you have a brain that is too small to understand something calls discussion . . .

And your first statement is just plain ridiculous as well as idiotic. Learn correct spelling first and turn the caps-lock off . . .
