I don't think thats aloud. If you are a team outside of the Premiership and you win a domestic trophy, you cant play in Europe.

Ipswich played in UEFA Cup last season and they were in division 1. It's possible a non-premier team play in Europe.

Don't you guys know this draw is the way it is just because of this stupid FIFA Centenary game or whatever the **** it is?

The final wasn't rescheduled and FIFA was pissed because Man U and Arsenal could have both been in it. And they have many players that would play the FIFA game. Now only one team will be there. I would say it's Man U.

Either way, everyone wanted to see these two teams play, so it shouldn't matter if it's the semi and not the final.

2002/2003 (last season)

Pre-qualifying
19.09.2002 Home Sartid Smederevo 1:1
03.10.2002 Away Sartid Smederevo 1:0

1st Round
31.10.2002 Home Slovan Liberec 1:0
14.11.2002 Away Slovan Liberec 0:1 (Slovan won on PK's)

They have qualified because England won a Fair play extra spot and Ipswich won the fair play table in England. Like Man City this year.

Uhh, Ipswich played UEFA Cup the season after they were relegated to div1...

And in FIFA I was Yeovil and won the FA CUP, and then won the UEFA Cup the next year, so it is possible :)

It would have been a brilliant final:(

Nah, I consider this game the final, and the game in Cardiff as a friendly. (H)
I'm pumped for this, we've got Arsenal for 2 games in a week, and should be 2 very entertaining matches.
As someone already said, boots will be flying, 2 men, Keown and Van Nistelrooy will be back to settle old wounds.
They'll both be close, 1 is to settle the FA CUP the other to settle (possibly) the Premiership.
2 Great Games coming April. (H)

Is there a possibility that if United and Arsenal both qualify for the CL QF that they could be drawn against each other?

Because that could make it 3 games between the two teams in about a week and a half.

Ok we're screwed... Here's my lineup. I leave Scholes out of the starting eleven for this reason: He brings no real physical presence to our midfield. We're dealing with monsters here (Vieira,Gilberto blah blah). We'll also need defensive mids on the wings to counteract their wingers, and the back four will have to take on Henry and Reyes.:p We need midfield battlers really, to face up to their challenge, and stop passes from getting to henry, as Brown OR O'Shea has NO HOPE of stopping him.

I kinda agree with you on Scholes.(Y)

Not sure about Kleb though.

Ronaldo as a striker.:p

:read:The Football Association have confirmed that a Nationwide League side will be in Europe next season, following the FA Cup draw.
The semi-final draw saw Sunderland paired with Tranmere or Millwall, meaning Manchester United face Arsenal in the other tie.

With Arsenal and United all but guaranteed places in Europe through the league, that means the runners-up will be handed the Uefa Cup spot from the final.

"The rules have not changed," said an FA spokesman told skysports.com.

"It does not matter that a non-Premiership side is in the final, the Uefa Cup place will go to one of the Nationwide clubs.":read:

So.......Europe here we come! :wootman:
