During World Cup 1974 the Dutch national team held a pool party after a victory and there were some naked German ladies present according to Bild. This got Mr. Cruijff in trouble with his wife. There was speculation that this negatively influenced his performance in the final. I don't think the players ever spoke about this party in public (or I think they denied it).

I saw in a doc that they denied it, but I might be remembering it wrong.

I've watched BVB quite a few times this season and Immobile has not been good. There's a reason why Auba is being used at ST.

competitive debut :confused2: ... didn't see that coming ...

in one word: yes ...

we can only go on what we know so far: he was "signed" by Milan at age 15 ... he's been training with the Milan first team at age 16 ... that he hasn't played a senior match yet is more indicative of Pippo Inzaghi's management than Mastour's lack of ability ... in the meantime, whatever has been seen of his primavera and junior Italy exploits suggests he could be the next Neymar, or the next Quaresma ...

based on all that, and the fact that he's still only 16, I think it's premature for him to be making a decision on his choice of national team ... I mean, this isn't pulling a Giuseppe Rossi, coz he's going to be competing for less with Morocco than with Italy ... this isn't pulling a Nuri, because Nuri never played for the junior German squads, and was part of the Turkey setup from U16 onwards ... this isn't even pulling a Kevin-Prince Boateng, since this choice isn't about going to an imminent World Cup ... it's just a premature move, that was not thought through ...

he feels Moroccan? fair enough ... it therefore made sense for him to make this choice now? I disagree... Mesut Özil surrounds himself with his Turkish friends and family, and considers himself Turkish ... but as someone who was born and raised in Germany, he made the right choice for his footballing life ... the World Cup last year proved why ...

I continue to dislike Conte ... the EUROs having 24 teams now means no chance of Conte being fired prematurely, with Carletto replacing him ... :bwtf:

yeah, but I think he'll win stuff with the US -- Gold Cups, Confed Cup silver medals, World Cup semifinal medals (*cough*Jürgen*cough*) ... Ethiopia would have been an international dead end, chosen based on his ethnicity ... Morocco isn't as much of a dead end, but even in Africa they aren't hot sh!t ...

Morocco has potential, but you're right they certainly aren't Algeria, for example. Algeria should be dominating Africa for the next 10 years.

They just lost one of their potentially best players in Fekir to France, again lol

France has brought so many amazing players through in the last 5 years that Algeria can survive in Africa with the ones who don't make the cut.
