There is a massive massive chance for sure but will depend how we deal with the upcoming fixtures till the Jan window reopens. At the minimum, finishing below 2nd and with not much difference of points from first would be a massive underachievement.

Pragmatism calls for 1 or 2 signings in Jan to help out and I get the feeling we will since if we don't even try and fall short there is going to be a toxic atmosphere.

Word. "Massive chance" to me seems optimistic but I certainly hope you're right. Losing Carzola for a while is terrible but hopefully he'll be a boost once he's back. I just feel like the same old problems are gonna come creeping back in unless we make some signings. We'll get too many injuries and we'll either dry up in attack or our defense will cave. Our greatest chance seems to come from other teams weaknesses rather than any great improvement on our part. Winning the big games we'll be the most important factor, I imagine.

One great improvement has been Cech's addition though. We're a leaky team and he bails us out. Can't disagree there are likely to be some issues but bringing in 2 more reliable players would help in that regard.

And imo being more careful and winning in the not so big games is going to be more crucial. PL big teams are bad but the teams below are complicated.

Make America Great Again
Wenger wins the title and retires as a Champion. Maybe becomes the Director of Football. Arsenal then shock the world and announce Pep as the next manager. I want this to happen so bad.

Yeah, too perfect.

I heard about that potentially coming to fruition today as well. It's an exciting prospect!

Great win today; nice to have more of a cushion between us and City. Also, does anybody here seriously think Leicester has a realistic shot at winning the league? I can't imagine this actually happening but then again I haven't been following too closely soooo

Followed by Arsenal collapse to outside the top 6

In the City game, what was most impressive I thought is the amount of effort the forwards put in. Specially Giroud,Theo,Joel and Ozil gave it EVERYTHING to make sure we're protected. Jiroo was an absolute warrior throughout and he was everywhere.

Gotta mention the two I've been very critical and doubtful about through out. Captain BFG and Bobby's boy Flamini were fantastic. BFG was flawless and put in a total captain's performance. Also, there was plenty of leadership on show from most of the team.

And Joel Campbell is a total champ. The amount of work he puts in, the contribution on both ends has been fantastic. And the boy does have talent to be fair to him. Clever user of the ball in situations.

Nacho! I never expected him to be this good and his consistency has been unmatched.

Wenger's comments about we are surely in for players and have targets is great news.

No but Wenger got his tactics spot on from the start, the players were confident from the get go along with the stuff I mentioned and we really should have scored 4 at least. Not to mention without Alexis, Coquelin and Santi. That is our 1st choice central midfield and best forward with their back ups also injured.

The only player missing for City was Kompany.

We do need to fix some things (get proper cover for Coquelin for one) so you're right, we're far from perfect. We've done alright though and we're certainly among the cream of a really poor English crop this year with Leicester and Watford (who've had a sensational season).

I'm of the belief that Chelsea will rise up in the new year though because of their quality so we have to watch for that, even though I don't think they can catch us they could certainly put a hurting on us when we play them like they've done in recent years. City (and maybe United) will improve as well.
