Your one stop place for everything and anything about the A-league.
Post rumors, signings, injury news, your tips for this weeks games and anything basically. For all i care you can post that your uncle's mom had a cat who was owned by Carlos Hernandez.

Starting off :

Francis Jeffers will not be staying with the Jets after the game against Sydney as we cannot fit him in the cap as the FFA has not released the rules and regulations regard the salary cap for next year. Ryan Griffiths joins the jets just as Jeffers is about to leave. And, some big news, Ljubo Milicevic wont be staying past the season end because he wants to try his hand in the Bundesliga.

Adelaide United have signed Costa Rican international midfielder Diego Estrada. In bigger news, they have signed Dutch international Adwele Slory on a 10-week guest stint.

Melbourne Victory have signed former striker Danny Allsopp. Also, striker Robbie Kruse has been called up to the Socceroos for his stellar season and is looking likely to play in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates

Sydney FC, in a time of need, have signed Finnish striker Juho Makela and comes at a time where Sydney's coach Vitezslav Lavicka might be on the way out. Juho has said in the media he has come to the club after the best season he has had in his life.

Any news on Brisbane Roar? They've been having an amazing season. I lived a year in Australia and went to their home opener vs. Sydney (won 1-0, very easily might I add).

much needed win for sydney up in newcastle
always a fun away trip and the win made it so much sweeter, however newcastle were very unlucky to lose ljubo early into the match

brisbane are far ahead at the top of the table, beat 2nd place adelaide in adelaide without their 2 main players, brisbane surely has it in the bag now

Newcastle winning 2-0 against the Fury at half time. Just got off the plane from melbourne, witnessed Heart 2-0 Fury, and Jets got done 2-0 by Sydney. What is with the 2-0's ??

Michael Owen (Man U) ------> Newcastle Jets
Paul Scholes (Man U) ------> Newcastle Jets

Both are long shots but the Australian club has declared interest as a marquee signing for next year

Adelaide United 4-1 Melbourne Victory, will take some time to live down that one. They obviously miss Robbie Kruse upfront and well....... Allsopp i dont believe is 100% fit. But, credit where credits due, great game Sergio Van Dijk !

i went to the game today, what a shocker, goes to show what victory is like without kruse or archie to play. I personally don't like allsopp and i believe its a down grade.. if you know what i mean.

Yeah, i do. Kruse has some vision and technicality but Allsopp is still trying to re-adopt to the A-League after playing in the MLS for awhile. If you ever saw him when he played for Melbourne before the MLS, he was one of the reasons that Melbourne have won so many trophies :P

Socceroo Legend Harry Kewell has been linked with a move to an A-League club, with Melbourne Victory, Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets all touted to sign the 32-year old.

The Fred is back!
Coupled with the signing of David Williams, and hopefully a top class centre back or centre midfielder, Heart looking dangerous!
Champions within the next 3 years, maybe even 2!

Looks like it's not happening. Good. Can't wait for his career to be finished

Same. Sooner gone the better. You know he was also asking for some of the attendance incomes for away games !! Greedy bastard.

Is the expansion of A-League planned? I would really like to see Canberra, and some other teams. 10 teams is not enough.

No teams are currently going to be added, but if any teams were going to be added in the future (Which is almost definite), Canberra would be up the top of the list.

Wollongong will get a team before Canberra.
West Sydney, Wollongong and Tasmania seem like the front runners.
Eventually Canberra and another NQ team will be added.

Not necessarily Wollongong, but a South Coast club.
The area has been tried and tested in the NSL, and it is a rich footballing area, where, unlike North Queensland, we already know they will have a good following.
