I think Zuñiga was mostly clumsy. He thought about going for that ball in the air but midway realized he wouldn't reach it, so graspingly attempted to make a challenge in any possible way. Surely he didn't mean to make such a damaging tackle, IMO a yellow card would've been the right decision.
