The defending Women's Champion Anastasia Myskina has been knocked out in the first round. :( Her mother's seriously ill, might have affected her game.

I have a feeling that Rafael Nadal might win at Roland Garros.

I hate Roland Garros, the big players never reach the final stages, it's always some unknown Argentinian/Spaniard etc...

except for Ferrero a few years ago, and Kuerten was great for that tournament but still I dont' like it for that reason and because clay is horrible.

unknown Argentinean? Are you crazy, since when are the ranked number 5 and 9 players of the ATP ranking unknown?? Maybe because you are not interested does not mean that they are unknown.

I'm just ignorant like that.

It's always unknown pussies from ****hole nations like Spain, France, and Argentina because they actually play on clay over there instead of hard courts or grass.

I hope you were being ironic...

Yep. Except for that only a few nations have mostly clay courts and tend to dominate the French Open.

Yeah, I know...wouldn't it be easier for players used to fast-courts, like "cement courts" to play on clay courts which are much slower? Because in clay courts, you do a lot of sliding (which btw reduces a lot of strain on the knees) and in fast-paced courts you actually have to stop..But I do understand, as well, that the ball bounces less in clay courts than it does in grass courts, so it probably balances out...

I've played on both surfaces and playing on clay sucks big time.

I heard playing on clay is pretty fun because you slide a lot, but it must suck to get that clay in your eye, or fall on the ground and have a big red mark on your back..

In southern Brazil clay courts are more common but I have yet to find one where I can play for free in Sao Paulo state... they're all hard courts around here...

Sharapova scraped through her first round match, there was so much grunting by her and her opponent.

Agassi gets knocked out in the first round again, he lost in five sets. Everything went pear shaped for him after he won the third set.

Rusedski lost to Saretta!! with Kuerten out, I guess Saretta is Brazil's only hope now... and to say we expect a title for him would be too much... if he gets past the 4th round I'll be very happy
