It's not in the tutorial. But I do believe that luigi has been sucessful at doing something like that. I do think that it is possi ble.

Donovan I tried to do the same thing that leal... To add a gk kit to the Portuguese team Sporting Lisbon. So I edit the fifa.db with Unidb and Microsoft Access and added a line there so the game knew that this gk´s team had a kit. Later I imported the kit to zdata11.big using fifaFS v.4 which has proved
to be fully compatible, but when i got in the game kit texture appear red and green.

Why did I do wrong ? What can i do to import a new gk or third kit without using CC 2005 that surely will mess up my career files.

I can't get two of the programs in the list you've made...

UniDB v 3.2: I follow the link and click to download but it gives a deadpage saying the address is wrong when i pick the mirror to download from.

FshEd: This link for the extra stuff needed for FSHTOOLS doesn't work either.

Hope somebody can hook me up with these, i'm keen to add the English Conference into the game, or at least my local team. Thanks

I don't know, You could try zdata 12 or 13. I would atleast try that, but I don't think that will matter.

And yes, that will mess up your career file if you do. It's impossible to edit you .db and continue in your current career. YOu have to backup your original .db, and restore it when you want to continue your career.

I think it is possible, but I wasn't successful when I tried to do it. But I haven't tried really hard yet.

Thanks for the great guide, it sure helps us to understand the fifa database a little easier, i wonder if you could advise me on some problems i am having getting the logos/mini kits to work.

i've basiclly been using creation center to load in everything else(kits, players, teams, banners etc) when it comes to the logos/mini kits i'm getting missing texture.

now i've started going thru the bigfiles with your guide and the logos show up now however still with the backing layer around them.

i've followed everything as you have stated, but what i can't understand is when i import the PNG file into fshed it doesn't have transparency.

Any help would be great.

I solved the problem with the logos, i used a program called irfranview to save the pictures as gif, this then let me save the picture into fshed with graphics importer saving the transparency.


I'll try now with the mini kits, i think they are the same.

Hi,
I have followed and done everything correctly ( I think). I am almost positive, because I am trying to make Team Canada, and so I just copied all the data info into the database exactly as donovanfan entered it in the tutorial. So, it must all be correct.
So, when i get to importing back to .db using UniDB, this is what happens... http://img157.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cmnfifa1hg.jpg It says... "C:\Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 2005\data\cmn\fifa.db already exists. Do you want to replace it??? Yes or No.

So, should I press yes or no????

When I press no, it just goes back to choosing the file. But when I press yes, when I press convert, it says file not found. And the conversion fails and I have to reinstall FIFA 2005.

Please help, anybody, I really badly want to play as Canada!!

I have exactly the same problem when I tried to edit FIFA 2004.

And I can't find any newer version than UniDB 3.0.

So I've decided to call it a day.

By the way, UniDB is total crap. I tried with UniDB 3.2 and tried to edit one single thing, the haircolor of one player. This time I could convert it back to the fifa.db but the game crashed when I tried to start it.

Football is the worlds biggest sport with lot of supporters and lots of people who like to play EA:s games and who like to edit and create things.

Isn't there anyone clever person out there who can create a good editor.

I would try DB master by Rinaldo to see if it works with the fifa 2004 database.
