Whenever i start a new game.. no matter whether "Real Names" is ticked or not.

the players always have the wrong names :S

Seems like your database was corrupted in some strange way. Only two options to fix that are to either install a scene dataupdate, or to reinstall FM. If the first doesn't help, meaning there's something else wrong, reinstalling FM should still fix your problem.
