Problem is Mandzu might cost a lot of money because Bayern might now want to sell. And it would be hard for fans to understand a high transfer fee for him, as opposed to a more flashy Costa.

I'm sure Bayern would like to have Manzdu on the bench as a safety but they already have Pizarro committed to another year and have the false 9s like Muller and Gotze and Robben and would probably be glad to cash in on him now, after his great season and decent WC rather than wait it out. Mandzu would cost half of what Costa would.

Mandzukic seems a lot safer due to his defensive workrate, less injury plagued past and relative better temperament.

Diego Costa has a higher ceiling though but does it neccesitate the risk?

You better play Schurrle more. I see now that his poor form at the end with Leverkusen was just bad form, not indicative of his quality.

I really like Schurrle He is an excellent player, different, good tactical option as a starter or off the bench and his attitude is phenomenal. How many players of that quality accept a squad role?

I think he's a great asset. I hope he gets starts, I think he will, he is a Mourinho style player.

I think he wants to stay and until we sign a replacement he won't be moved. I'd take Khedira over Mikel, too, but I also wouldn't mind signing him and letting Mikel stay as cover, either. He hasn't complained about playing time and I can see him contributing with 10-15 appearances.
