So seven friendlies and we finished with 3 wins and 4 draws. Not overly impressive but at least we didn't lose any games. I expect to see a very pragmatic and patient Steaua with Levy as manager (whether that means 1 match or 30). From what I remember with him in charge of Unirea, that's how he managed that squad.

Supercup this Sunday. Will we win?

I have one simple question: How do we plan on attacking three competitions with a roster made up of 19 players? That's ridiculous.

Seriously though, 19! 2 goalkeepers, 5 centerbacks (the only position we're decently stacked at), 2 center midfielders, a couple of defensive midfielders, one left back (LOL), one right back (LOL), a couple of mid guys that can play multiple positions (Tanase and Radut) and then 3 strikers! 3! LOL.

We might relegate if they don't bring some players in and fast. No chance we get to the Europa League group stage with that joke of a roster.

In my opinion this is the best starting line-up we have at the moment:

Tatarusanu

Nicolita Gardos Geraldo Latovlevici

Bicfalvi

Radut Tanase Brandan

Rusescu Tatu​


Of course we'll never see that line-up because Tanase MUST play on the left even though he's much better at filtering through balls than taking players one on one on the wing and of course Nicolita can't start in defense because he's our starlet and must be up front even though we have NO other option at RB unless that young kid Matei grows up fast. I always thought Geraldo was better than Galamaz. Tatarusanu should be captain.

Martinovic as RB maybe? I hope Matei can cut it though. that line-up looks ok tbh, though I don't really rate Bicfalvi as our only holding midfielder. Tanase would be decent in the middle I think if his mind is there. at least get Bourceanu, a striker, a winger and another right back. I don't think we are so lucky to have Nicolita shipped off but I hope we won't be seeing him starting so often at least.

As long as Nicolita is at Steaua he will start, that is just a written in stone fact. If we get Bourceanu I like him as a holding mid but otherwise show me someone better than Bicfalvi. He has had a great pre-season and he has been around long enough to mature and really take hold of that position this year.

what do you think about Radut? he seems to have fallen the same way Tanase did, especially his attitude. both are lost causes for me. I don't understand why every romanian player that ends up at Steaua suddenly believes he's already proven and doesn't need to improve. you'll have time to spend your money and f*ck around when you'll retire at 30 or so, this is a once in a life time chance and new players screw it up each year. I know it's easy to say when you're not making 120k a month but there can still be some balance. imagine if one of these f*ck ups ever gets to play in the Premiership, what will he do when he sees himself making that much in a week?

I mean Tatarusanu and his gay pictures on hi5, Tanase being dressed in an Armani T and shorts at his presentation plus getting beaten in a country club, Cosmin Matei being seen in casinos when he can't even make it to the first team, etc. this time it's not Gigi's fault or whatever, it's the fact that our country is almost full of semi-retards and we seem to be getting them all. starting with Claudiu Raducanu up to Florin Costea.
