I honestly didn't think we could do it again! Great fighting spirit and there's no doubt the amazing crowd helped them. It was awesome seeing Ghencea like that once again!

BTW those commentators were so piss poor. They kept saying "what if that goal had stood for Craiova, what if, what if etc..." except they forgot to mention how Craiova's first goal was an obvious foul on Geraldo that went uncalled. The offside call was incredibly close but I've seen them called before.

It's so frustrating... 1st round, 1 and "1/2" penalties not given against CFR. Now this goal... What's next. How the hell every time a smaller team plays against a big team those mistakes happen in big team's favour?! We were ROBBED against CFR in the cup last season, but anyway, you don't know this frustrating feeling, because you are one of those big teams

By the way, I went back and took a screenie of the exact moment when Costea struck the ball. This isn't even a discussion if that other Craiova player doesn't stick his leg out to touch Costea's shot. It's not as if it's THAT clear that he is onside anyway. His foot is sticking out past the last defender and it just so happens that's the same foot he reaches for the ball with.

Please.... Give me a break! You took the most inappropriate possible photo. Costea already shot the ball when you pressed Print Screen, so that photo is as clueless as the stats you posted. The game speaks itself. You didn't play anything all the match, but in the end you win because you are Steaua. Because you played 14 v. 11 and were only able to beat 2-1 from two lucky goals.
The only idiot in the whole country who said it's offside was Becali. So what are you trying to show me?

Refereeing mistakes are always part of the game, and as some say, it was offside if the referee said so. You can argue all you want but that's not gonna change anything.
I have to say too that the digisport commentators are by far the worst I've ever heard. The only competent commentators I've heard are the ones that were on Eurosport's CAN 2010 (I remember Gradinescu as one of 'em). You never got bored even if the match was ****ty. As for the worst commentator of all, I have to say it's Mironica from PRO TV/SPORT.RO. I simply hate him.

I am not happy about breaking the silence in this thread, but Piturca really disappointed me. Clearly, for him money are more important than how is Steaua doing.
About the AISS "supporters", I'm glad that their form of protesting is (yet) not going to the match. I hope a good atmosphere can be maintained on the stadium. I'll go to Steaua-Grasshopper.

Well yeah. We all know how Becali is, and he's really not going to change. And if you, Piturca, knowing this, and asking him to guarantee his silence with a millions worth terrain, well, excuse me, but that makes you a guy avid for money. And the thing with "the owner shuts the **** up" seems to me very stupid. One thing is not to intervene in the team, and another thing is expressing your opinions (even if they are stupid) in the media. Hell, if I was the owner I would say anything I'd want to. If you find this hard to accept, well why are you here? And if the answer is "for Steaua", think again. If you really cared for Steaua more than for the money, you would've continued/you would've asked the "supporters" (AISS etc.) to continue supporting Steaua. Then again, this is my opinion, this is how I feel.
The team is looking good with Ilie. He made the exact team I imagined. I personally saw a better game than all the 3 games before. Bonfim is crap. Eme is better.

That should have been at least three or four nil. Ridiculous that some of those chances didn't go in.

I was surprised to see Nicolita get subbed since no coach ever dares to do that and the fans reaction was sad b/c he does work his butt off for the team but because he f*cks up so much and is gigi's favorite player (at least publicly) he gets harassed by the fans. I hope for his own sake that he moves on to another team pretty soon.

If the percentage of good chances converted into goals had been higher, the score would have been about 4-2 or 4-3. They sometimes made it easily through our defense line.
I attended the match and I have to say the atmosphere was ok. Apart from 3-4 anti-Gigi chanting, they encouraged the team. In fact, they were starting all the chants which the rest would follow.

it was a really good match though we gotta be more careful in the defense. weird how Ilie Dumitrescu was regarded as a defensive-minded coach throughout the years and yet we are playing some good football. got pretty scared tbh when he subbed out Stancu and brought Angelov in, Olaroiu's picture popped out of nowhere in my mind.
