I'm making a total conversion for fifa 16 to season 2004/2005

At the moment i finished Serie A and now i'm testing Manager Mode

I made following changes to dlc\FootballCompEng\data:
cmsettings.ini - CALSTART_YEAR from 2015 to 2004
compdata\settings.txt - i updated all schedule_year_start

Now all ages are correctly updated, so Trezeguet is 27 year old while Messi is 17, and calendar starts from 2004 and schedules seems all right (2004 - 2005)

btw every time i go to next day simulation starts and never stops, it does not freeze, just never stops.

Any idea?

you deleted young players like woodburn (17, from liverpool)? I think they are a bit to young for this ^^

otherwise there is a like in settings.txt "0,schedule_year_start,2014" or maybe "1,schedule_year_start,2014" you changed this to 2004 too? (not 100% sure if its 2014 or may another number there)

I tried following tricks on a clean db:

1) as suggested by @SlimOntario2033 I changed young players birthdate so all players are at least 16 years old (I did not delete them cause that means 90% of teams have less than 18 players in their roster)

2) I edited playerjointeamdate so that every players contract starts in 2003 or before

3) I remove all loans

But no it stills load forever starting from day 2

open to any other tips but i think there's something coded that doesn't let us a so hard step in the past

A solution could be to leave the calendar to 2015 and change all players birthdate so they match the age they had in 2004... but I'm not very happy with this

Just try this:

let ALL year start dates of international competitions (i mean with national teams... european championship, world cup - qualis and so one) by the default date! and then test it again.

I often got this kind of crash while I tried to change some national team competitions..

also I tried removing all country leagues and cups except for italian (hoping to find if the problem was related to a specific competition) but nothing changes

removing international cup such as champions league or world cup just crashes the game

There is also a specific schedules for leagues
in folders schedules
names is c31_s1_2015.txt

that's loaded by settings.txt, but i removed the references

also i tweak some values in db and relative xml that had limits to 2008... but again nothing

I tried something like that some years ago, but I think it's not possible. The best way to do it, is just decrease the players' birth date by 10 years.

Finally it works

I found that the limit was to season 2008-2009, the same limit I found in minimum dates for the db, so i changed this limits in fifa_ng_db-meta.xml for all dates form 20080101 to 19990101 (just to have a wider range) and it works

I succesfully simulated first season with a default database and all was fine, now I have to try it with the 2004 database, but now I know it's possible

I think that for kits what is needed is at least:
- Top World Club: Home and Away
- Top Leagues: Home kit
- Other Leagues: 2016 kit + Generic Kit
