Hey friend, could help me with Blender? I did everything I said in a tutorial and unfortunately it did not work. I do not know if it's because of the Blender version, please help me

It may be the version of blender, download the 2.71

Friend , I have two questions :
1- How do I move the mouse around the screen ? Otherwise how will you move ?
2- Why when I do "Assign Created Materials " did not charge me anything and I said "Missing Bones Material" ?
I also Create Material from Texture Files selected .
