Just my luck, testing out Gareth's tactic, and my new signing has arrived but not available for selection and doesn't appear on the tactics page. So I have a crap youth on one wing. I also have two players banned, so that's another two crap youths... what makes it worse is one was the other winger, and the other is a defensive midfielder.

So basically my main way of countering the 4-3-3 is buggered. My team will use the wings, but the wingers are crap. Bah, lost this match to Egg Chasers then...

Well, I was correct about the outcome, but playing away and only lost 3-2 despite those setbacks... at least there's something positive in the result. :)

I beat AFC Muse 3-0. Back to winning ways for me, after losing to Chelmsford on Monday.

Egg Chasers scored from a penalty, tap-in and free-kick... gah. :D

Will look forward to playing my rivals AFC Muse (not AFC Abolutelycrapnewteamname ;) ) on Friday. :shades:

And yeah, me too... although I think he should've scored more, I hope the tactic will work better with a full strength side... but I always have my other tactic anyway. :)

Bah... 1-0 up after only two minutes, then had about three or four shots hit the post, but couldn't score again... Muse equalised via a penalty, lost my 100% record against him now. :S

Can't believe my team didn't score more, hope that doesn't happen on Sunday. :kader:

Finally watched this morning's game on the Analyser, and AFC Roon's keeper is amazing. :confused:

I should've won by a cricket scoreline, instead it was only 1-0. :o

Yeah, think I have the harder run-in IIRC, remember Surreal and someone else. Had a few crap results recently but I'm hoping to do well in the final two games.

And my keeper has 8 keeping 9 form, soon have 9 keeping hopefully go up to 10 :D Both keepers did well, but Phipp's had more shots to save... :D

Well, we both won today, second place will be yours as I won't get a great goal improvement to my goal difference even if I do beat Surreal, you have a two goal advantage I think and you play a weaker team next, they're near the bottom I think. I hope that writing off Bésto's chances will mean they get a shock win. ;)

I've sealed third spot though with a five point gap so like today I will just continue to experiement with tactics. Hopefully I can get a decent tactic for Sunday's league game. :o

thats what I'm doing. The one I used today wasn't bad, as I was the better team, but defensively I looked a bit fragile. That's probably something to do with putting my 2 best defensive players into midfield to strengthen it up a bit.

Heh, just gonna do the SG FL report, saw my match... red card in the first minute, effectively played the whole game with ten men. Still, had roughly double possession and scoring chances, good win methinks. :)

Someone posted something on the forums about getting a red card actually makes the team down to 10 men better. Sounds like it could be true because I beat Egg Chasers after a player got sent off and Pippy beat me recently when it happened to him.

the theory behind it was in real life when a team goes down to 10 men they work alot harder to reduce their disadvantage. MZ haven't got the balance right or something and it reduces the disadvantage so much that they actually have an advantage.

That must have been a pretty recent thing though because I remember last season I was winning a game 4-0 and got a player sent off and ended up losing 5-4.

Anyway it's still a good win.

And interesting that the 3 Premier League teams finished as the top 3.

Hmm not sure, maybe a conspircacy theory. ;) Apparently home advantage is 53%/47%, that could've had something to do with it as well.

And yeah, by a good margin as well. But look at phipp down there in second last position, not living up to div1 standards. :p
