There is alot of threads yet scattered about slowmo and I think most have fixed the issue by now.
This is what works for me, to tell the truth I never thought I would get as smooth and nice gameplay as I have now. was about to buy new comp.

I used to have all problems like rest of slowmo geforce mx dudes had.But after reading all posts and tested this is what works best for me:
go to controlpanel/multimedia and change sound accelration in the first tab to basic and second to full.
I tried all the new fancy drivers which are mainly for the newer geforce cards, but I figured I go back to driver when geforce 4 mx and geforce 3 was released so I installed detonator 23.11.
changing desktop to 1048*78 32bit 85hz,vsync off and all that fancy stuff. For some reason there is no stutter at all in window mode so I ran the game increased the size so I wouldnt see that blue ugly thing at the top of screen. Viola like fullscreen!
ingame before the match I put the support and commentary to neutral sound setting, and to my amazement suddenly even with alot of players in penalty box no slowdown at all. The game runs like it should and I´m in heaven lol. It was mostly the 23.11 that did the final touch.
