What happened to all those players? Who remembers Hoarau?

Wasn't he playing for PSG before the takeover? Rest of the players of the Bordeaux team just vanished apart from the great Chamakh.

Maybe, Gourcuff should join Real Sociedad to play with Vela and under Moyes. Talented people but big clubs too overwhelming.

That sounds like is about to be wrapped up also. 18 mill euros will go to Milan, the player is getting 3 - 3.5 mill a season. Not bad for a one season fluke.

if I was a Bayern fan i'd be furious with guardiola, ruined your team and selling off club legends for peanuts. Schweinsteiger would be better Bayern manager.

I think Lahm will manage the club one day, not Schweinsteiger. Not really peanuts. He's been poor for awhile and his contract is up next summer.

And in fairness, Bastian has been looking to play in England for awhile now. I legitimately thought he would go to MLS when his contract ended, that's what I think of his current level of play. 21m for someone like that is a good deal IMO. Not everyone wants to play at the same club their entire career. Examples of those who didn't: Cryuff, Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, etc. It's no big deal really.

I think the reason why his form declined and the reason why he wanted to leave is ebcause he suddenly had all managerial faith ripped unceremoniously away from him after being such a tremendous, key cog for so long.

Edit: it's basically exactly the same mistake as Milan made with pirlo

gotta agree, though I'd question how far he can re-raise his game now ...

nah, Milan did the right thing ... Pirlo always needs an entire midfield built around him, to pick up the defensive slack ... they would have been roundly criticized if they had continued to build their midfield around him, having already been labeled a retirement house by most onlookers ... also, it took being discarded for Pirlo to rediscover some motivation ...
