wtf? No way! I might watch that one then.

But Skydome? How are they gonna play there? I mean the stadium is diamond shaped.

Holly ****! They are indeed coming!
But why Roma vs. Celtic? Why not Chelsea or at least Bayern Munich. And i am not even asking for Manchester United, because i would have a heart attack everyday until Tuesday March, 30 when tickets go on sale and every hour after that.

Nah, i actually didn't know that. Since i don't watch it on tv, plus i heard the Argos are getting less and less popular every year:confused: .

But it doesn't matter what kind of stadium it will be, aslong as we get to see a world class action!;)

You didn't read right.

Killie will NOT be there, meaning no world class action.

This is outstanding news, world class football coming to Canada!

I heard somewhere that Porto is also coming on the tour. Since Toronto has a massive Portugese population (I heard that there are 200,000 Portugese ppls in the GTA), I could see them playing at Skydome too.... Perhaps a Man Utd and Porto rematch at the Dome?

I wish a match like this would come to my hometown, Edmonton. We have the best outdoor stadium in the country, and have a natural grass field. We also drew 47,000 for U19 Women's World Championship. Yet, its obvious the big clubs don't have a massive following here as in Montreal or Toronto.

Here are the dates, oppponents and venues for Celtic's 4 matches in North America in July;

Chelsea, Seahawks Stadium, Seattle (July 24)

Liverpool, Rentschler Field, East Hartford (July 26)

Man Utd, Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia (July 28)

Roma, Toronto Skydome, (July 31)

And according to Celtic tickets go on sale to the public on March 30.

AYE, Stevie "Baggio" Fulton against Francesco Totti would be mouth-watering eh? :)

I am infact going to be in Toronto visiting relatives at that time so if the tickets are reasonable, I will certainy go to watch them play. Here ' s what is dissapointing though....by that time, there is a good chance that Tottii and Larsson will be at Stamford Bridge or maybe Nou Camp so they probably won' t be playing in that game...my cousins were ticked off cause they read in the local Toronto newspaper that the teams will be comming but the paper billed it as a collision between those two guys....they might not be there...Italians would show up none the less I am certain of that.

As far as the turf goes, there is something called sod I think is what it is called and they roll out that stuff onto the turf which is first covered with plastic to protect it. The sod is then flattened with a roller and babied for a few days to get it into prime condition. They did the same thing in Seattle when Celtic played Man United there....incidently the sod was given to the city of Seattle after the game. The capacity of the Sky Dome is almost the same as that of the stadium in Seattle so it should be a good one in terms of atmosphere.
ticketmaster will be offereing the tickets but world series soccer has some offer where you can sign up for 45 dollars CDN, and then get the tickets in advance. SO HEH!:rockman:

I' m sure that the folks in Toronto will have it on some soccer channel...maybe tape delayed though....some Italian channel could have it LIVE...my cousins say that they get to watch a lot of Serie A games on an Italian channel with English Commentary....don' t know if it is available in the US though ....ofcourse there is always FOX SPORTS world who might show it...they showed Celtic/United last year !

The championsworld site is up now buttickets are available to you a week ahead of March 31st and you must have signed up to be a member for a cost of 45 dollars US(not CDN as I thought) Anyways, you get a lotta different benefits if you do sign up besides tickets .... nothing free .....I just took a quick look !

I guess you could get tickets that are not particularly great for slightly lower prices...I had visited Toronto in 2000 and saw a Philly-Toronto baseball game for 17 dollars CDN. The seats were nice but we were left ducking from foul balls.

The channel your thinking of is TLN (telelatino) they show 4
serie A games a week, all in english commentary, but Fox Sportsworld, and Fox Sportsnet are most likely going to show these games, they did last year(H)

Apparently Porto ARE going to be part of the series of matches.

Well, I hope Celtic stick to the 4 they have already.
