How can I find the players positions in Rinaldo´s DB Master? I don´t want to edit the players positions. I want to edit the positions ID. Does anybody know where? I was trying to edit then in SCOUT POSITION COSTS but anything happend.

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to do, but the position numbers are fixed internally and there is no external location to edit anything other than the abbreviation and long name (which isn't going to do you any good, because it will still be the same position, just with different text associated with it) although that doesn't apply to the negative positions in the scout_position_costs table.

Perhaps if you tell us what you are trying to do then we may be able to offer something more concrete.

Thanks Steve! I din´t to know about it. I´m trying to export the "players.csv" from DB Master and changing the players positions with Microsoft Excel, after that I import the "players.csv" back to DB Master and save the changes but before the game starts it crashes. Do you know what I´m doing wrong?

Thanks

No, and if I did I'd have replied to your other thread :)

I don't edit the game at all, just write a utility for extracting information from the database and manager mode data files (and therefore have a good handle on the internals of the last few versions of FIFA), but the obvious mistake to make with DB Master would be in not deleting your existing squads (which won't work once you've changed FIFA.DB) or trying to play a manager mode game created with the original version of the database. Oh, and you'll also have problems if you are using the patched version of the game with the separate rosters update file (PC_CL.BIN)
