First of all let me thank you for your Revolution Mod... it is a truly invaluable asset for FIFA fans (particularly on PC), and it is brilliantly implemented.

My inquiry is related to an issue about which several members have posted, but no one seems to have an answer. The issue is not related to RM15, but I am hoping that the answer might be found through its versatility and function:

When playing with a virtual pro... either in career mode or online... the created player does not have a miniface. This issue is unique to the PC version, as the PS4 FIFA15 displays the character. I have attempted to import a png (thereby covering it to .dds) and renaming the file to p30999.dds -- but it has been to no avail. I was looking through the .lua files in your mod, and I came across a bit of code within 'player.lua' that specified that if the player ID was determined to be a vp, then (this is to the best of my memory) 'headtexextension=.dds' and 'head.dds'. This got me thinking: perhaps I can assign a miniface to my virtual pro via CM15.

This brings me to my question:

Is there a way to assign a miniface to a player within RM15, whether through statements or automatic assignments? I imagine that there is not, given that only a virtual pro would require it, but I was hoping that you might know of a workaround or else a means by which to create such a assignment.

If not, I would be greatly appreciative if you would look into it. I intend to keep digging, but my knowledge of coding pales in comparison to yours ;) . I'll post if I find a workaround.

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to add mini faces for VPs. The code you found in player.lua is related to the game face texture.

scouser09 is it possible to set the crowd LOD to low but using high rendering quality mode? You know, like when we set the game to "Low" redenring we can cleary notice during gameplay that the crowd LOD is a lot lower than when using high rendering.

I ask this because i play with high rendering quality (to get better detail in the players lod), but in the default camera i get stuttering since the game shows the crowd all the time, so i aways have to end up changing the camera to Tele broadcast in most stadiums... So i think that if i could set the crowd to low LOD(like when the game is configured to low rendering) i would be able to play with high rendering and without any stuttering issues.

If its possible please let me know wich file should i edit and what to insert.

@scouser09 can we enable scarfs for some or all teams? it seems that some english clubs don't even have scarfs(among with that all english clubs don't have flags).


EDIT: 2nd GK founded!
also can we have alternative GK kit? in my folder I see that in some teams they have added alternative GK kits with kit codes 12 & 13 and in the lua assignment they use the assignGKKit(1,0,{2,12}) code but it doesn't seems to work for my team, what else I must do except from putting the rx3 kits in folder and inserting the code in the lua file...

I seek you fix bugs stadiums convertion fifa 14 by your tool
the corner flag stops blinking but I ais try to remove the flags by a transparent texture, flags and turns black and the same problem is with the goal
your tool works very well I just have a problem with transparency if I put different color it works well

you have a solution please?

This might be possible. Each crowd character is paired with 5 different models for different LOD. I should be able to force the game to only load the lowest LOD models.

I can not change what items fans use (e.g. scarves, flags) with lua editing. To the best of my knowledge, no way is known how to do this unfortunately.

This is because the corner flags are part of the stadium model in FIFA 14, but are added separately FIFA 15.

The alpha channel in flag textures is not used for transparency, you can not make the texture invisible. The flag model is one of the few match related files whose file name is not defined in the lua files. This means that I can not remove it with lua editing. I can remove the corner flag poles, as well as the goalposts though.

I think the only solution is to edit the stadium model to remove them. You should be able to do this in Blender with arianos10's script.

Can u tell me how? it would mean a lot to me as atm im not able to play the game on the default camera because of the high detail crowd :(

I found some typographical errors into Automated Features.pdf file.
In 8th page where you write about fan cards the example says...

fancard_teamid_tournamentassetid_opponentteamid_var.rx3.

It should be...

fancard_teamid_tournamentassetid_opponentteamid_var.dds.

Also in 13th page where you write about SLC characters.
The example for medic characters says...

It should be...

Maybe also the other way round, force the highest model always?

I hate it that the LOD changes on the crowd when the camera zooms in. It couldn't be done with settings.lua as for player models, that's why I ask.

Theres definatly something controling how far the LOD changes for the crowd because u can cleary notice that when using "low" rendering mode(from fifa settings) the game uses low detail crowd a lot more, offcourse depending on the distance of the camera... a simple way to inllustrate how it works:

With high rendering mode:
Distance X = High detail crowd
Distance X2 = High detail crowd
Distance X3 = High detail crowd
Distance X4 = Low detail crowd

while with low rendering mode:
Distance X = High detail crowd
Distance X2 = Low detail crowd
Distance X3 = Low detail crowd
Distance X4 = Low detail crowd

What i need is to use the low rendering mode crowd lod setting but using high rendering mode because on low the players look very bad.

I understood what you want, it was just a question for my personal taste as my PC could easily handle high LOD for the crowd.

I corrected the fan card file name error in the documentation with V1.3

You are correct, it should be "paramedic" instead of "medic". Thanks for telling me this. I also released that "cameraman" should be "cameramansteady", "cameramanhandheld" or "cameramansitting". I think I did not update this section for FIFA 15 from FIFA 14.

There is also an error for corner flag pole textures, "_textures" was missing before the file extension. It should be cornerflagpole_teamid_tournamentassetid_stadiumid_textures.rx3.

I did a quick test and this can also be done. For me the game play stuttered, but maybe not for you.

You need to do this with CM15 as the position coordinates are stored in the kit file.

One way to do this is to add a new kit in CM15, import the kit rx3 you want to edit, edit position data and save kit file, exit CM15 without saving. The just rename the file as needed.

The Celtic scarf file has errors. Scarf files need to be made from the team's flag file as there are some references in the file to team ID, In this case, to team ID 111052. It would not have worked in FIFA 14 either, it just did not crash the game. Either use Celtic's flag file as a template, or one from another team with the same length team ID and hex edit the team ID references.

Can you be more specific about what would need to be done to add ultras?

1.Can we use a global statement that will make all players(I assume and the career generated ones) wear long sleeves in winter unless is stated something else in their lua file?

2.can you explain me the PLAYER SHOE STATEMENTS?
you say:
"These statements must be placed in FIFA 14\Game\data\fifarna\lua\assignments\players\playershoe_X.lua, where X is the player ID.
assignPlayerShoe(playerid,bootname)
This assigns a boot to a player. This requires files shoe_textures.rx3 and shoe.rx3 to be placed in data\shoelib\bootname. As bootname is a string, it must appear in quotes."

from default there is no shoelib folder so I must create it and then put the shoe rx3 files there, but with what name file?
e.g.
shoe_21.rx3
shoe_21_textures.rx3
like they are in the data/shoe folder?

and then you say in playershoe_X.lua to write the bootname as string like assignPlayerShoe(41236,"Nike Hypervenom - Crimson+Volt+Black (EA)"), from wear it reads the bootname string??
