Restoring Damaged saved game files?

After i installed Creation Master 12 Beta 1, i went into FIFA 12 to find that all my saved game files, Career etc had become damaged.:-(

Is there anyway possible to restore these files? Why would CM make them damaged?

Your career files aren't damaged - they only don't match your database anymore, because you edited the db with CM12. To continue your career, you will have to use the database in the state it was when you started your career.

I didn't edit anything other than the kits of the team i use in Career mode. What's the best way to restore them again? uninstalling Creation Master?

What exactly did you edit?

Uninstalling CM won't solve your problem because the edited file(s) causing the mismatch will still be there.

The only thing i did was to add a goalkeeper's kit for Plymouth Argyle as they only had a generic one. and i changed the home and away kits, which didn't even work in the game anyway!

Nothing else in the DB was edited at all.

That may have been enough to cause your trouble. From what I know, as soon as you add a line in any table of the database, the career files won't work with it anymore - when changing values only seems to work fine though.

Have you tried using the backup database just to see if your career still works with that? Because if it does, then we have confirmation on what I wrote above and you'll either need to start a new career or revert back to the old database. If it doesn't even work with the original db, there must be some bigger problem.

Stupidly, i didn't backup the DB before installing CM, was so excited to try it out i totally forgot to backup!

In Fifa 11 i did the exact same kind of editing and my career files worked fine afterwards.

you just need to take the db files in fifa 12 "db" folder into another place for playing ur career mode again... and whenever u want to play with the changes u made u restore the files into the "db" folder..

Tried this, but it just crashes to the desktop before it reaches the language selection screen.

If i reinstall Fifa, and use my backup career files, will they work again?

You have to regenerate the game! Just run the i68 regenerator once and try again ;)
